Yan walked calmly, his walk was slightly zig-zagged and he had his hand out to the side slightly, letting it brush against things as he counted in his head all the paces it took between everything from where they walked. Yan smiled at Zuki talking, knowing it was mostly for a distraction for his walking, but he made sure to pay attention to her rambling.

Mazen looked at Aleaha. "Sure." He smiled and nuzzled her cheek before he held her hand and wandered into the kitchen.

Lila grinned. "I'd like that." She chuckled at the pride in his voice. Glancing at Yan and Zuki.

Aleaha smiled as Mazen nuzzled her cheek, blushing slightly from the affection. She followed as the brute lead her into the kitchen, her hand locked with his. Catching Zuki's small wave she returned the gesture, raising her hand.

Seeing her greeting acknowledged and returned, Zuki fell back into task, easy words slinging out her mouth, normal, steady, with the lightest of high notes to make it wistful. She recited small mishaps that occurred in the tavern and how Moon, bless her old soul, had solved them all with an iron fist and a few good swipes of her broom.
Making it to the stairs was easy, a piece of fresh meat, no problem. Now came a more challenging obstacle. Yan had done well so far, now the fae hoped he would be able to overcome this as well as he had before; only with the slightest of miscalculations.
She had noticed his wonky steps and absent hand on objects, she just hoped no one else had. Sure becoming blind was obviously a huge deal, and she could tell Yan didn't want anyone else knowing, be that because of the attention it would draw or the attitudes it may bring, she wasn't too sure, but she understood his shakiness.
Pausing her drawls she took a deep breath, muttering in a hushed tone, "We're at the steps, gonna go nice n easy." Before swinging one leg on the creaking board and wincing at the sound.
The tanned female had never really gotten over her issue with stairs, it still made her jitter.
Great combo there moron, blind brute and a fae who can't even handle ascending floorboards, nice one.

Kite gave a broad grin at her enthusiasm and quickly made his way to the front door, Lila in tow as he held her hand, eye bright and glinting with the morning rays streaming in through cracked walls. "Come on then, Princess, time's a'waitin'!" He jeered, opening the creaking door and pushing out onto the empty gravel, chuckling away with ease. The sun felt amazing, so warm and cosy, only disturbed by the smallest of breezes, sending barely noticeable shivers down his arms.

Yan nodded ever so slightly and took a silent deep breath before he moved to stand infront of her, sensing her uneasieness on the stairs. "It's okay, I can do the stairs." he whispered as he scootched past her and ahead. He still held her hand and led her up the stiars. His steps fairly sure, but he still took the stairs a little slowly. Muttering out numbers as he counted the amount of steps it took to reach the top. Doing his best to memorize the house. At one point, his foot slipped slightly and he quickly put his hand to the wall next to him to catch himself, his breath hitched and he stood there to take a moment, his arm shaking slightly, the slip seemed to scare him enough that he needed to pause. Once he regained his composure he continued up the stairs. At the top he leaned against the wall and leaned his head back.

Lila grinned and shifted before she leapt out the door. She shook out her fur and sat down, wagging her tail.

Mazen looked into the kitchen and saw the door open with Kite and Lila leaving. He shook his head smiling. "Well so much for that idea." He chuckled.

Zuki gave a hum of acknowledgement at his words, hand gripping his with white knuckles as the slowly made their way up to the second story, teeth catching her lip as she worried it, eyes closely trained ahead at Yan's back as means of distraction.
The small slip had Zuki lurching forward and bumping into his back before the brute managed to right himself; shaken as he was he continued up after a few seconds. The fea herself had a lump in her throat and pounding heartbeat. Holy stars that was close, she thought with a twitch of her eye, feet finally hitting the floor of the upper level, Yan resting his head against the wall as Zuki took a moment to collect herself and calm her heart rate and breathing. Leaning over with her hands on her thighs as she counted quietly in her head until she regained a steady rhythm.
Tilting her neck back she looked over to the blind male and quirked a small, ridiculed smirk, "So your room or mine?" Despite the attempt of lightening the mood, her voice still shook and trembled as she straightened up, popping her back and heaving out a sigh.

Kite barked out a laugh before easily shifting with her. Redish hued fur exploding from his body as he landed on his paws, claws clacking against the mudded ground and eye bright with life. He pattered over to Lila with a rough laugh, nudging her up from sitting with his muzzle and sweeping past her, tail brushing her flank as he bounded forward, gangly legs sending him around in spurts of energy. C'mon! C'mon! he seemed to say with his actions, tongue lolling out as he itched to run forward and explore the town.
The sudden childish nature was not uncommon when Kite shifted into his feral form, as this gave him much more freedom to move and so he normally seeks to exert a lot of energy like this.

Yan smiled at her attempt to lighten the mood. "Your room." He replied and sniffed the air to follow Zuki's scent to her room and quickly found the bed to sit down onto. He took a deep breath to attempt to calm his shaken nerves and clear his thoughts so he wouldn't panic over losing his sight. "Well...how are we going to tell the others?" He muttered. "I mean, Mazen will probably adjust quickly since he knew I was practically blind, but Aleaha, Lila and that new guy might not take to this too well. The hard part will be if anyone tries to fight me for Alpha I might not have much of a fight..." He sighed. "Sorry I know I'm babbling."

Lila chuckled and followed after him. Her longs legs and tail practically gliding along, making her movements seem fluid. Her slightly larger ears were pinned back in happiness. Lila nuzzled his shoulder as she passed him and bounded towards the city, a small jump in her steps.

Zuki shook her head, choosing to stand in front of him rather than sit on the bed; despite her wobbly knees. A few deep breaths was what it took to at least bring her heart rate down, listening to Yan ramble out his worries, mulling the thoughts over in her head she began to understand his concern about his position. "I think, they respect you." She started out, watching him with a burning gaze for any defiance. "So if anyone fights for alpha it won't be anyone that's known you long - Kite isn't bothered by the position anyway from the looks of it; too wound up with Lila." The fae further continued, quelling the others concerns with her own logic, "It'll be difficult and not only will you have to readjust but everyone in the pack will have to pick up your blind spots." Inwardly chuckling at her pun, the tanned female made her way closer, patting Yan's head with a smirk, "So no worrying, you'll keep your place and I've got your back. You be my nose and I'll be your eyes."

kite shook his head, muzzle twitching as he bounded after her with a happy yap. Skidding his way around a corner and head on into the crowded city streets. Bustling feet and humans muttering all around but the wolf wasn't worried, he kept close to Lila's scent and followed her through dusty paths, past stalls and merchants. Pelt brushing the smaller fae's side, the russet furred male kept his head low and wove between piqued people, keeping an eye out for guns despite his happy exterior of a lolling tongue and bright eye.

Yan looked in her general direction. "How am I supposed to tell them though?" He sighed. He looked up towards her hand on his head then looked back in the general direction of her face. "Deal." He smiled a little.

Lila leapt around him and yipped. She would playfully nip his shoulder or neck or back as she pounced along. She noticed Kite's watchful sight and she stopped to push her nose against his in a playful gesture. "Hey, relax Kite." She chuckled. "I doubt there are any hunters here anymore after that guy."
