Adashi growled and tackled him, knocking him over and pinning him to the ground. "you better let that loner join. If it's true that they mated then he needs to be with her here, protected" she growled and snapped her teeth in his face

Gaige stared up at Adashi half in shock. His eyes narrowed. "First, she needs permission to do these kind of things. Second, she mated with a rogue she knows we had problems with. She was the one who warned me he was stealing! Third, why should i let a wolf i don't trust into this pack? Fourth, i am the alpha. I decide what happens and what doesn't. Now get off me," he growled, standing and sending Adashi to the ground. He shook off and looked down at her with a slight ruefulness in his eyes. "Adashi, you have to understand. I will make the right choice in the end," he said softer. He turned and went toward Reagan again.

Adashi growled at him and snapped at his side as he walked past her. She folded her ears against her head angrily and walked into the forest

Gaige didn't like seeing Adashi this way but what he said was true. He approached Reagan and without words let her know he wanted to see her in his den.

Reagan laid her ears back and followed him with her head low. She knew he knew what was going on by now and she shut her eyes. What a terrible packmate she'd been.

Adashi stomped off, head low, shoulders hunched and ears back. She headed off in the direction off the lake and sat down on the bank of the frozen water

Gaige strode into his den, went to the back, and turned to face the outside and sat down, gaze stern. He saw Reagan come in shyly, ears back. She knew what was coming. Gaige waited till she sat in front of him and began to speak. "You didn't eat that half of the elk, did you? At least, not all of it. You shared with that rogue."

Reagan swallowed and glanced up at Gaige's eyes but then her gaze flicked back away. It was too hard. With a sigh, not loud, she reluctantly nodded. "Gaige, you don't know how sorry i am...It's much more complicated than that."

Avery nuzzled aiden a bit in her sleep and she dug her nails into the ground.

Rain sighed and closed his eyes. He yawned and soon dozed off

Gaige didn't change his expression. "Why do you think you can do whatever without my permission?"

Reagan looked at her paws. "I wasn't thinking straight. Rain was in love with me and i was in love with him....when is your mind ever straight in a situation like that? I am sorry we mated. I'm sorry we even are together. If what you want me to do is leave him..." Reagan blinked, "then i will listen to you."

Etorre licked the pups and smiled. "They're perfect" he muttered and nuzzle the little black and brown balls of fur

"Okay, i'll think of one name and you think of the other. The black one is Dante," Darcia decided giving it a lick.

Gaige thought Reagan seemed to know what she was talking about and had to admit she was partly right. "But you didn't tell me about him." With a sigh, Gaige added, "Where's his den?"

Reagan glanced up at Gaige. "At the edge of our territory," she answered reluctantly.
