Nightwing knew her daughter was huge so she had to aim at the right spot where to land on her spine, to paralyze Mintkit. She got ready to jump when the right moment came. The time came and she jumped down landing as hard as she could on Mintkit's spine. There was some cracking sound when she landed on her kit.
