Snakefang hissed, "Fine!" then he pelted out of camp and away from camp.

Shadowheart stared at the camp entrance with a blank expression. "I'm not rescuing you this time," she mewed subtly, then lazily padded into the nursery.

Snakefang shook his head angrily as he halted besid the lake.
"This time, I'm not dying, but I'm not going back! I'm turning back to Snake, and no-one can talk me out of it!" he yowled to the sky.

Dasiykit watched morbidly as Snakefang leaft camp. "Snakefang..." She whimpered, then turned to Shadowheart. "I wanted him here. He was nice." Her little eyes looked pleadingly at the entrance. "Where will he go?"

"He'll either kill himself or be a loner," Shadowheart mewed.

Daisykit pouted, "I don't want him to die!" She cried, and looked up at her mother again. "I don't want him to die!" She burried her face in Shadowheart's fur. "Don't let him die mommy."
