Rivertail dipped his head. "Thanks!" he limped out of the den. He looked into the sky. The moon was rising. It would be moon-high soon. He padded to the freshkill pile and picked out a sparrow. He finished it in a few famished gulps. Then he found a peaceful place in the clearing and layed down, trying to get some energy for moon-high. He groomed his pelt. Finally, it was time to go. He looked around camp and then padded through the camp entrence, He raced through the woods and came to a halt at Great Oak. He quickly killed two mice and put them in a neat pile in the middle of the clearing. He started to groom his pelt again. He wanted to look his best for Featherwing.

Hollyheart sighed and finished her mouse and smiled. Windstorm just finished his mouse too.

Featherwing padded over to Cinderfrost. " Im going out to find some herbs, Cinderfrost. " She tried to hide her lie, she turned without an answer and left the medicine den, when she was out she dashed the the camp entrance and ran toward Greatoak.

Featherwing saw Rivertail, she padded over and sat down beside him, her pelt was already groomed, it always was. " So what did you want? " She asked.

He picked up the mouse and dropped it by her feet. "Here, eat." he nudged to to her. He lay down with the other mouse, twining his tail with her's. "If we are going to be mates, we need to meet here more often. I love you, Featherwing. You know I do. I want us to be together. Forever."

Featherwing smiled, she entwined her tail with his too and purred lightly. " I love you too.. But we have to figure out all the days we can meet. " She took a bite of the mouse.
