River took a deep breath, giving one last daring glance at Foxheart before turning and padding though the forest. Although she was silent on her paws, her heart seemed to beat so loud it could startle the birds more than the sound of her paws would. Every muscle and bone inside her twitched as she went deeper into the forest, until she finally found the camp of RiverClan. She took one last, deep breath, before slinking in the shadows, heading for the den that smelled of kittens. Get in there, get the kits, get out. Simple. But it wasn't that simple. River was a rogue; she had never had to do through dens, or anything like that. Her heart almost stopped as she got stuck in the tangled branches from the entrance to the nursery. I can't beleive I'm doing this, she thought as she finally got herself unstuck. I'm doing it for myself. To prove to the mouse-brain Foxheart that I'm not scared. She finally got to the nursery, where three, tiny kits lay. She moved slowly, not really caring if they could see her. She kept panicking that someone would see her, and then most likely kill her. All three kits were picked up by their scruffs as she began crawling out of the den.

River emerged back into the open, her heart freezing as she caught sight of a cat. It was bearly a foxlength away from the nursery, but hadn't seemed to notice her - yet. She sighed to herself as she saw what was stopping the cat from smelling her: one big pile of juicy, tasty-looking prey. She had to stop herself from drooling. She blinked, racing carefully out of the RiverClan camp. She was careful where she put her paws as she went back to Foxheart and Brokenlight. "Three kits, all here. I bet you thought I couldn't do it," she said cheekily as she put the three kits in front of Foxheart.

Oceansong lashed her tail grumpily. No, I haven't been fine! My joints are so stiff I that I can barely bend down! Then her gaze softened, she noticed that familiar sheepish look she always did when she was young. How do you always calm me down Dapplestar? Then she went back to her grumpy self. You should warn those apprentices that they had better bring me fresh new bedding or I'll have them pick my ticks for moons! And she stomped away in a huff.
