Halfface smiled, spitting slightly at the ground. "Thanks..."She laughed. She flicked her tail, slightly amused, and still rather discusted by the dead snake.Horrible creatures..She thought and shrugged. "Do you want to taste it?"She asked jokingly and smiled at him. "It's pretty sour and exotic..."She remared. But I suppose it's not my thing, then,She thought and sighed, flicking her tail again.

Ashfur shrugged. He rather liked snakes. While they were not the kindest critters in the forest, and they had potential to hurt or even kill his clanmates, but he has nothing against them. "Not... particularly." His eyes sparked with interest when he looked at the dead snake, however, and he crouched down to look at it more closely. Hooking the body with a paw, he lifted it above his head and observed it. Halfface had nearly bitten the snake's head clear off, and it barely hung on to its body. With one last look, he flicked his foreleg suddenly and sent it flying into the nearest bush so anything that walked by wouldn't have to see it. Ashpaw longed to chase after it, but felt that the urge would be a bit too kit-like and instead looked up at his mentor, still crouching.

Halface grinned slightly. "I know what you mean.."She said and smiled at him, twitching her tail. "C'Mon let's do some real hunting!"She said, bounding off slightly, into the forest. She flicked her long white tail for him to follow as she almost dived into the high grass, searching the area for prey.

Without another word, Ashpaw sprang after Halfface, careful to keep at least relitively quiet. Besides, he was a light tom. Tall, but not bulky. His paws made no more than a soft thud that could only be heard if one was particularly listening for pawsteps. Which, he supposed prey might be, but he hadn't scented anything too close earlier and he didn't now. He figured he couldn't scare anything off if there was nothing immediately around him, but he could be wrong.

Halfface casted a glance at him, as the strong scent of rabbit drove into the air around them. Three, in the glade in front of us..She thought, alomst flat to the ground. She casted a warning gaze at her apprentice, telling him to follow. Then she gave a hiss and sprung up, leaping in the air. In the air she spotted three rabbits, one big one and two small, but they where not kuts, just smaller than the thrid. She unsheated her claws landing at the big one and yelled: "Get the last ones!" As they squeeked and rushed away.

Well, he was wrong. Ashpaw didn't really understand what Halfface was trying to tell him, but realized partially what she meant when she crouched down. A bit late, he quickly tried to ready himself. The apprentice took a tentative step foward, copying his mentor, and launched himself into the clearing soon after she. Due to the fact that he took longer, but only by a second or two, the rabbits had enough warning to dart off before he could gets his paws on them. Taking no time, he sprinted after the slower of the two and disappeared into their surroundings. He quickly caught up with it, and flashed one of his paws foward, snagging the rabbit just barely. The sharp squeal was cut off when he bent down to quickly bite the rabbit's spine in the form of a neat killing blow.

Halfface grabbed the rabbit in her jaws, padding after him, flicking her long white tail."Goos work."She smiled and put the rabbit down on the ground and smiled at him. "You just have to work on your speed."She said, licking her moutha nd ridding it of blood. "ANd I should have signaled better."She added bitterly and grinned. She smiled and picked the dead rabbit up in her jaws again, flicking her tail. "C'mon. Now the elders will be happy, two big rabbits!"She said with the rabbit in her mouth, turning and padding through the forest towards the camp, flicking jher tail as she turned.

Ffft. Work on his speed. He was the fastest apprentice in the clan, for Starclan's sake! He arched a brow humorously as Halfface, before picking up his rabbit. His ebony tail whisked the air once, before he darted off in the direction of camp, realizing that he had a headstart but hoping she would catch on to his idea of a race.

Halfface felt his annoyment over her comment and smiled.I was the same as appretice. She told herself, and flicked her tail. Then, as he darted off, she laughed. SHe sat off after him, catching up slightly, more for each second. Her white fur bristled as the wind rushed through it, and she narrowed her eyes to see. She smiled with the dead rabbit in her jaws as she leaped over a rock as she ran.
