Chee walked out of an old fox den that she had taken for herself for protection and shelter. She looked up at the sun high in the sky, and she twitched her whiskers at herself in amusement.

Oh dear Chee, you slept in again. No more midnight hunts for you for a while, she chided herself.

She shook her fur out, loving the warm and dry weather already. She stretched out her long limbs, tail and spine and, now fully awake, went about scenting her den then walking off deeper into the Forest.

Will it be rabbit or rat this morning? she asked herself, her yellow-green eyes scanning for prey.

As Dapplestar padded along the borders, she made sure to mark her scent on almost every tree they passed. Looking at her apprentice, the leader murmured, "Shadepaw, can you tell me the last time you think the rogues came by here?" Dapplestar watched the she-cat, remembering how she had taken Shadepaw and her brother, Spiderpaw, in a few moons ago. RiverClan was wary of strangers, what with the rogues, but Dapplestar had seen potential in the two. So, she had chosen Shadepaw as her own to mentor. She's going to be a wonderful warrior.

The she-cat, who was nearly as tall as her mentor, nodded and opened her jaws, ivory teeth shining in the light. She took a couple of deep breaths, her chest expanding and her shoulders lifting slightly with each one before she turned to Dapplestar, eyes careful and causious. "Not that long ago. Either last night or this morning, I reckon." She replied casually, completely contradicting the emotions in her eyes. She was determained to prove that she could be a warrior.

Sweetfire finished healing her side cut and went to the border to collect herbs. Glaring at a RiverClan patrol she saw passing, the siamese picked junpier growing by the stream and headed back to her camp. She had kicked leaves and dirt in the general direction of the patrol to show her disapproval.

Chee walked around sniffing, and she came across old and new scents. Those that belonged to prey, the faint scents of Riverclan as they marked their territory, and the Rogues who came by often. Chee wasn't a Clancat, but she knew that there was bitterness and conflict between the two. Perhaps over prey or territory, she thought, but if it was anything more than that then she didn't know.

"If a rabbit crosses my path, then my claws will find its soft plump flesh," she spoke outloud; a habit out of being a Loner for all her life, and it helped to push back the sting of lonliness, "although...I wouldn't mind a squirrel or two, but that would include climbing trees aaaaaaand...My lgs are still too achy to climb at this hour,"

She continued her wandering, careful not to get too close to RiverClan, and would strategically avoid fresh scents that were hours or a day old. It would attract too much attention to herself; she only wanted to live.

She looked at her apprentice and nodded. "Alright, let’s go." She said, and started walking out of the camp again, in the direction of where she knew a good patch of Chamomile was. She was smiling slightly, happy to be out of camp again. Her blue eyes were clear and bright and her sleek silver pelt was glossy. She walked quietly along, she doubted any rouges would be this far in the forest but it couldn’t hurt to be careful.


Brokenlight

He walked around the rouge territory again. He didn't want to be in camp, and was mainly looking for a spot to sit and possibly sleep. But then he saw a nice looking tree, something that might be good for climbing and couldn’t resist. He ran at the tree and jumped onto the trunk, digging his laws in. Then he clawed his way up, his strong body easily making him go up the tree. He stopped near the top, slightly shocked because he had never been so high before. But then he looked around and he could barely see the ground below and smiled. He settled onto the branch better, and just sat looking at the ground below.
