Opening his eyes Smokepaw looked at Swiftflight. "Come, you need to receive your medicine cat name" she meowed leading him away. "Dawnfire, the Apprentice" she murmured nodding to one of the past medicine cats. "Welcome Smokepaw, your mentor has passed on it is time for a rare moment, I will touch my nose to your head and you will receive all herbal knowledge and then I will give you your name." she said before touching her nose to his head. Smokepaw felt all the knowledge flowing in him and smiled, "Thank you Dawnfire" he said. "Also, now you are to become a full medicine cat, do you promise to keep and uphold the medicine cat code even at the cost of your life?" she asked him. Nodding he said yes before she continued, "Then with the powers I hold as apart of StarClan I give you your name, from now on you will be known as Smokewater, but I say this now, you are no longer known as this and I call you Smokeywater after the last medicine cat who had this treatment" she said as a young grey she-cat stepped out and smiled, "I am the Smokeywater she is talking about. I have come to tell you this,' Spotted kin will be reborn and a young eagle will sore with tawny wings under a lightning covered storm, The reed will be back but known now as black' she said. The grey tom nodded to her, "Where is my sister?" he asked her. "Jadekit!" The grey she-cat Smokeywater called, "Yes Smokeywater?" the kit called, "SMOKEPAW!!!" she called happily, "No I am Smokeywater too now" her brother said, "Oh, ok!" she said happily, "You will be seeing me real soon brother, I will be joining you again, and so will father" she said, "I will know everything that happened in my to-be past life and Father will learn over time" she said before slowly fading away. Smokeywater and Dawnfire nodded, "You must go now young one and bring the news but say not who is involved" called Dawnfire.

Waking up Smokeywater smiled, "Littlepaw, Gingerpaw, Silverpaw, Branchpaw, Tailpaw?" he called to his littermates. padding out of the medicat den.

Tailpaw and Branchpaw padded to their brother. "Yes?" asked Branchpaw
