Goldenberry gave a small chuckle when she saw Runeclaw's eyes light up. She blinked fondly at him. "That seems like a good idea," she murmured. She gave a small smile.

Stormclaw looked in that direction. "Why simply you two?" He raised an eyebrow at him.

"Well, we havent even scented a whiff of prey since we have been on this hunting trip, and i thought that if we split up, we might have more luck."

Runeclaw said with a bit of an edge to his tone.

Rosefern looked dissapointed, flicking her tail as a sad looked washed over her.

Stormclaw now hissed, narrowing his eyes. "Is that a challenging edge I hear to your voice?" He asked

At this, Runeclaw lost his temper.

"YES! Yes, it IS, Stormclaw! and seeing as how I was put in charge of this hunting party, what I say, GOES!"

[Ditzy Doo]

Rosefern said quietly; "Guys, please stop..."

Stormclaw obviously showed no fear. "Who put you in charge? Lightningstar said no such thing."

Runeclaw's eyes narrowed dangerously.

"Last time i checked, it was YOU who decided to tag along on MY hunting party, Stormclaw, so yes, i AM in charge!"

Rosefern narrowed her eyes now. "Toms." She hissed. "Stormclaw, I think you should go." She hissed, flicking her tail."

Stormclaw narrowed his eyes. "I deny that." He hissed.

Goldenberry squeezed her golden amber eyes shut for a moment, then opened them. "Well, if I remember, Runeclaw asked me to go hunting with him, so..." she said quietly, looking at her paws. "I agree with Runeclaw," she added, quieter. Actually, she truly didn't remember how Stormclaw and Rosefern got involved. She did like Stormclaw as a best friend, but something just didn't spark as bright as it did with Runeclaw. She sighed.

"You know what Stormclaw, you can go ahead and do whatever you want, just stay out of my way! and i for one, will be hunting with Goldenberry."

Runeclaw growled at the other tom as he stalked off into the undergrowth. but as he passed Rosefern, he dipped his head and mewed in a kinder tone

"sorry that things ended up like this, Rosefern....i didnt mean to upset you, youre a great friend!"
