"Impressive catch!" Helios said, smiling warmly at Granite. "Do you mind if I take Crystaullus with me the next time I go out for food?"

"Sure" said Granite" Here have some jelly, I'm not hungry" she nudged the jelly and seaweed towards her mate and calf.
" I can't wait to go out!" squeled Crystallus exictedly" so when is next time? Is that now?"
Granite smiled she turned her head and yelled" SPARKLE! GET OUT!" she roared then looking aploigetic at Helios and Crystallus

" I GET OUT??! Don't you realize the this is my territory?" Sparkle yelled! " keep that noisy newborn away!"

Helios flicked his tail slightly, irritated at Sparkle. He gently nudged Crystallus, glancing at Granite. "I think now would be as good a time as any to go hunting." He wasn't sure he wanted Crystallus in the middle of the argument.

" Good idea" growled Granite, still concentrated on Sparkle.
" yay!" squeled crystallus bouncing up and down and darting out of the cave. Her ice blue eye's widened" wow" she breathed she glanced up at Helios and then dove to the sea beed with a large clumb of sea weed. The sea weed somehow looked sinster, it was black shot with a dark omnious green. It was swirled with starnge ancient like patterns like glowed a sickly green. Crystallus eye's widened with exitement and grabbed a mouthfull. Swam up to Helios, a while above her and nibbled a pinch then recoiled as if she had been hit. She let out a scream as shock as the tiny stub on her head that would soon grow into a horn became black and parts of it started to crumble. The small light perched on top grew weak and flickered softly. Her fins turned trasparant and looks leathery and rough her tail crumpled into a blacked mess and her eyes turned foogy. It looked like mist shifted through it. The mist in her eyes could disguise the fear in her eyes. She screamed once, a blood curling howl before her eye's rolled into the back of her head and she plummented to the sea bead below. In the underwater cave, something in Grantie's heart and her eyes widened and her blood turned to ice. She tore out of the cave to see the crumpled firgure of her duaghter.
