Flame started swishing his tail back and forth and roaring even louder at the trainer to back off of Spirit or else he'd be dealing with him.

The young Trainer saw the Charizard and clentched his fists, knowing that his Regice who had already been injured by Spirit stood no chance against a Fire-Type. He was stubborn though, and began fishing in his pockets for another Pokemon. Finally, he whipped an Ultra Ball out and sneered, pressing the button on the clasp to expand it, and than threw it into the air.
"Go, Golduck!"
The Ultra Ball spun in the air and a red beam errupted from it's center, expanding into the streamlined and intelligent looking form of the Golduck. The Golduck had an intimidating look on its face, and not even stopping to look at it's trainer, it met Flames eyes in a challenge.
"Duuuuck....." it said maliciously.

Flame just stood his ground, a little intimidated by the trainer's stubbornness, but apparently he couldn't have gone without a fight. Flame roared again fuiously, saying to the Golduck, "Bring it on!" he said itching to fight, he didn't know if Spirit was wild, but she obviously looked like she didn't want to go to this trainer.

The Trainer yelled something at his Golduck, a determined look on his face, and the Golduck lept forward dashing from side to side in a quick attack towards the Charizard.

Spirit woke up a little, distressed, injured, and disoriented, she opened her eyes a crack but only caught sight of a muscular and dragon-like orange leg before her eyes snapped closed again. She moaned quietly in pain again and shifted her head slightly before becoming still again.

Flame snorted and smoke flew out of his nose, right when the golduck got close enough, he clenched his hand and let out a strong fire punch, hoping to make decent contact to the golduck.
