Squirrelsong stiffled a purr. "Now come on Mumblepaw, what can you expect? They're just kits after all! Some of us still are," She cast a glance at Piepaw, "a little childish. You can't honestly say you didn't do something of the like as a kit?" Her mew was teasing, but there was concern for her apprentice. Perhaps the incident at the riverside had been a more of a near death experience for him then she'd thought. "Tigerlight? Is there something you need?" She asked, spotting the queen coming in through the entrance.

"I suppose I could do with some fresh meat. I haven't been able to eat much with this one around." Fernheart ruffled Vixenkit's fur, who gave a sour face. "I'll get some later, I don't want to miss out on the game! Citruskit must be looking for me by now!" Before Fernheart could protest, she'd scrambled out from under her mother's gentle paws. She was halfway across the camp by the time Fernheart even had a moment to realize what had just happened. "I worry about her sometimes." She whispered, eyes locked on her daughter's bouncing figure as she tumbled into Oakkit. "She's trying so hard to fit in. It would be so much easier for her, for all of us, if her brother had been here."

"Alright, I'll be the mouse." Oakkit agreed half-heartedly. He didn't want to disappoint the other kits. And besides, it wasn't that big of a deal. He dropped to the ground, stomach up in an impersonation of a dead mouse, ready for whatever was thrown at him. However, Vixenkit seemed to beat the other kits to the chase. "Oakey! What game are we playing?" She laughed, her pale hazel eyes looking down at him, her full weight pressing him to the ground.

Nightsound licked Fernheart's ear, knowing the pain that Fernheart felt, for both thier daughter and their lost son. "I know. A lot would be easier, but we can't dwell on the past. Vixenkit needs us now, and we're lucky to have her." He mewed softly.

Viperkit giggled. "Well we were playing warrior and mouse." The she-cat purred. "But you seem to have beaten us to it." She mewed nodding to Oakkit.

Wolfkit hid a smile under his paw, pretending to wash it.

Rushingfur stretched and laied out in the warmth of the sun, glad to see the kits playing. A happy memory flash behind her vivid green eyes and she closed them with a sigh. It had been so long ago since she had been a kit, and now she was not only a warrior, but a queen. There were times she wondered how her mother, Cloudsong, had done it, but she guessed she could understand. Afterall everytime she looked at her kits, she felt happiness grow inside her, making her glad to be alive. A smile made its way onto her face as she lay there.

Skyleaf was lying outside as well, her grey fur gleaming as she sunned herself. She watched the little ones play and felt a smile grace her lips, as CherryLife flopped down beside her. She smiled lightly at her daughter before drifting off to sleep.

Brokenheart watched the kits play amoung themselves, with a fond smile. "I remember that used to be us." He mewed. Jungleclaws chuckled. "Aye, you always getten inta trouble, me always getten ya out."

Emeraldkit laughed. "No Oakkit you are supposed to run away... try to hide like a mouse does!" she mewed

Mumblepaw shrugged. "Not really. I did some un...realistic things but nothing like that. i was a sit back and watch kind of kit." he mewed licking a piece of fur down.

Ealgleap saw his mate and kit and smiled. padding up to them he curled next to the she-cats

"no,i'm fine mumblekit - i was just checking to make sure the kits didnt totaly trash the place, and to apoligeize" she explained and gave a tired smile. "its hard to control them sometimes, one minute there playing mossball and the next there rampaging the leaders den" she laughed.

citruskit looked up from where he hovered over solsticekit and felt a smile strecth across his face "vixenkit! you finally made it!" he mewed with joy and started to turn away to race back to the other kits but then remebered his brother "solsticekit! come on, you lazy furball get off your but and come and play!" he shouted tauntingly over his shoulder as he raced away to the other kits, he was still looking at solsticekit when he crashed head long into lotuskit,

lotuskit gave a squeak as she fell ontop of wolfkit, with a angry huff she kicked citruskit in the back and wriggled out from under him, "wacth were your going you orange furball!" she mewed grumpily and dusted off her grey and black coat, honestly! her brother was never paying attention! she thought amused.

Mumblepaw laughed lightly. "You should probably not tell me father that." she laughed jokingly

Wolfkit wriggled as Lotuskit fell ontop of him, but when she got off of his back he breathed a sigh of relief and smiled. "Hey looks like we've all got screwy siblings huh!"

lotuskit huffed "got that right! and you got it worse then me, three is bad enough - but five siblings!" she complained, it also didnt help that she was the youngest in the litter. "that seems like a nightmere!"

tigerlight laughed "your fathers got enough on his mind with out some kits trashing his den'" she mewed with amusement "sorry again about there little ... parade into the medicine den, they didnt wreck anything did they?" she asked concerned.

Wolfkit shrugged. "Ah they're alright...most times. Only problem is that when things turn into a debate, I'm always tie breaker." The tom complained with a good-natured sigh.

lotuskit laughed and shrugged " i guess there alright, i mean i always got someone to play with - citruskit is always getting us in trouble though" she explained
