Noble Heart
Stupid party. Stupid cloaks. Stupid not-assassins. Stupid paranoia. Noble Heart glowered out the window of the train. How was SHE supposed to know that pony wasn't an assassin? She wasn't. Just because she had arrested the Duke of Arab for looking suspicious didn't mean she was stressed and overworked. No it didn't. But the Princess had INSISTED she take a vacation, despite the fact that there were much better things she could be doing. Her Ladyship had even gone so far as to call in the Captain of the royal guards who had ORDERED her to take some time off (An undisclosed amount.) And she had argued. You were never supposed to argue with a superior officer. Her career in canterlot was, most likely, over. Noble's hand went her flank, albeit covered in armour. The helmet shaped cutie mark was there. Guarding was the only thing she could do. Her father, Valor Heart, had done it before her.
"ALL OFF FOR MORGANCHESTER" she conductors voice slashed a hole in Nobles thoughts. She rose, Sung her bags across her back and disembarked.
Her temporary home looked small and quiet, nothing like Canterlot. There were ponies, yes, but not as many. There were shops, yes, but they looked... unimportant, compared to Canterlot's glorious displays. And there was no one to guard. She sighed. This was going to be one BORING vacation.
The train rolled away and Noble was left on the platform
GemCutter
GemCutter was moving in. Finally. After weeks of packing, worrying, filling out forms, and traveling to Morganchester, he was about to reap the fruits of his labors. Gem had long dreamed of taking a sabbatical to learn from another jeweler pony, but there weren't any accepting, but one.
And so he was here now.
Then, there was the house. It was small, but big enough. It had also come already furnished, so Gem's only true possessions were what he carried in his bags.
He set clip-clopped off to explore the ground floor and found a Kitchen, dining room, bathroom, and living room as well as the foyer he had entered into. On the second floor there was a bedroom, which he set his bags down in, and another room. Curiously, GemCutter peeked inside. In the center of the room, facing a Huge window, there was a heavy work desk, outfitted with paper, pencils, and a huge magnifying glass.
With a small smile, Gem cantered back down the stairs and out the door to explore the town.
