Sorrelstripes rolled her eyes, "Just ask me, scaredy mouse!"

Moondust walked over to Snowstar's den. "May I come in?" he asked.

Moondust dipped his head as he came in. "I was wondering if I could send out a hunting patrol. The fresh-kill pile is empty." He said. "I was thinking of taking Sorrelstripes, Rainfeather and Shadowheart with me." He said.

Beechpelt watched the clan cats silently, the prophecy that Snowstar had announced still ringing in her mind. Moondust had also become the deputy, she smiled at the thought. She wondered about what would change for the clan, and wondered about if she should go to Snowstar and ask if she would finally do the ceremony to welcome the loner into the clan. She had been looking forward to it, but figured the leader had forgotten with the turn of events recently.

She saw Beechpelt. She stalked her. She jumped and landed on her tail

Beechpelt whirled around, her eyes wide and her fur puffed out. A cat had pounced on her tail, scaring her badly in the process. The she-cat in front of her didn't have the smell of this clan, and that immediately sent Beechpelt into defensive mode. She hissed, her green eyes like slits as she backed away from this newcomer.
