Nakalla looked down.

"uh, sure..."
she folded her wings tightly.

"When i was a filly, i lived in a small town on the other side of the everfree forest. Celestia did not know of us at this time.
when i was there, a huge storm was going to hit our village. My mom said i needed to learn how to fly... I did, and i walked a ways into the everfree forest before taking off. There i got my cutie mark, but that's another story.
Once i took off, i hit the storm, full in the face. All i remember now are gleaming eyes, my mum calling out my name, and her shrieking before her death.
I managed to make it to ponyville before i was killed, but the storm wasn't a storm, and i knew it-- it was a ghastly dark pegasus with a blank flank."

as nakalla finished her story, a waiter came over and she ordered a salmon salad. Then he motioned to indigo. "and you?"

"Oh, I'll just have a hay sandwich." The waitor nodded, and left the table.
Indigo turned to Nakalla. "Oh, I'm sorry. I lost my parents when I was a filly too."

"it's okay. I don't really remember them now. But anywho." she brightened up. "why don't we go to pony depot and get some supplies for a new wing model?"

Indigo perked up instantly, smiling brightly. "Ooh, that's a brilliant idea!" She looked around, coming to a realization. "We did just order though, we should probably wait for our food."

"uh, yeah. Good point." she put her head down in embarrassment. "sometimes i can get a little ahead of myself."

then the waiter cam up with their food and set them down on the table. Nakalla dug into her salmon salad.
