Ashcloud squeezed out of the nursery. "Pouncerpaw," she meowed. She waited patiently for her apprentice; training would start today.

Pouncerpaw heard Ashcloud and ran away from Nightsky "Sorry Nightsky gotta go!"

Pale-eye shot to her feet and stood beside him. "No," she meowed, "I'm staying. Warriors never run." She had a certain softness in her gaze that quickly hardened as the russet canine padded slowly from the bushes.

Ashcloud purred. "Pouncerpaw, today we'll be learning about battle training." She was pleased to have her own apprentice at last.

Sootwhisker sniffed loudly, exhaling after a moment with dreamy eyes.

Larksong was suddenly aware of what the fox did to her, and pushed her behind him. "Run. Now." He hissed under his breath, the fur along his spine rising.

Flashfire shook his head at Sorrelpaw and Sootwhisker. "Maybe later...." He murmured, "They seem to be busy..."

Sorrelpaw bounded after Sootwhisker happily.

Ospreyfeather shook her head again. "Oh shush, you." She purred.

"Fine, we'll just have fun on our own," Streampaw purred. "Let's go!" she meowed enthusiastically.

Pouncerpaw nodded "yes Ashcloud. And don't worry about my wounds I'm fine"

Ashcloud nodded slowly and gestured for Pouncerpaw to follow her. They would be going to the training hollow. The beginning of Pouncerpaw's lessons was long overdue.

Pouncerpaw followed after her quietly still feeling bad about her accident. She was excited to start training though and was really happy to see Ashloud.
