Batwing fixed his gaze onto Icehawk's. He said nothing, but his eyes were bright.

She looked at Batwing confused. "So do you want to be my mate?" She asked. She was terrified of having her heart broken.

"What do you think?" the tom mewed, tilting his head, surprised that she hadn't read the acceptance in his gaze.

"Your face says yes, but I wanted to make sure..." She said.

Batwing laughed and twined his tail with hers, pressing against Icehawk comfortingly.

She looked at Batwing. "What do you think of this prophecy and sickness going around? I honestly don't know what to think about it..." She asked him.

He flicked his tail and rested his chin on her head. "I don't know. Hopefully, we won't get it." he meowed.

"But it could cripple the clan.... Who knows what could happen to our clanmates...." She protested. She was deputy, and she would do anything to protect the clan.

Batwing nodded and fell silent.

She brushed up closer to Batwing, "No matter what, I'm going on that quest the prophecy talked about. I want to save my clan and my family...." She told him.
