Fall's coat was thin due to being born late, she had once told him. The fae shivered, her eyes squeezed shut as she struggled to keep her body heat. Yumiko blinked and leaned down, rasping his tongue over Fall. The cold crystals froze his tongue but he continued to lick the chilled fae, causing he snow to gradually melt. Finally, after a heartbeat or so, the snow had turned to water and was pooling around Fall.

Chiyo flicked his ear as Call fell behind him and padded with Snaketoung. As Chiyo's ears swieveled behind him, he could hear that their pawsteps fell in sync, a perfect harmony crunching atop the winter snow. Chiyo smiled slightly and brought his ears back, leading the two back to Kaibutsu camp. Gradually, the scent of wolves grew stronger in the air and Chiyo began to pick up the pace, his ears up and erect. Soon enough, the entrance was in sight and the brute padded towards it, throwing a swift glance behind him to make sure that the two were keeping up. He slid inside, feeling the snow-littered thorns graze his pelt as he squeezed by.
