[Knuckles the Echidna]

Maplekit's eyes blinked open, and he looked around the dim nursery. "Mama?" He whispered, looking at he grainy, long fur. He looked back at his short, dark brown fur and skinny tail.

Grainclaw quickly looked at her kits, seeing Maplekit looking around. "Maplekit, your eyes are open!" She purred, covering him in affectionate licks. "You're such a handsome young tom."

[synastry]

Arrow paw nodded, then got into position. She leaped, then repeated what she did last time. She used a little less power to push herself off of the tree, leaping at the fern frond. This time, she landed it, and she said " Woah! I'll have to get used to the way of the landing, but still, that felt awesome!" She looked at Antlerclaw, her eyes bright, and her fur a bit ruffled.

[Nebelung]

Antlerclaw padded over.
"You're doing great! Maybe after a few more like that last one, and then we'll start thinking about moving to more advanced platforms." He stood the frond back up again, however only after moving it in a different area that wasn't exactly centered with the tree.

[Knuckles the Echidna]

"Yeah but... Why aren't their eyes open yet?" He asked, looking at Tigerkit and Stonekit.

"Well, everyone grows at a different pace. I was last in my litter to open my eyes. They'll open their eyes when they're ready." Grainclaw replied, nuzzling the young tom. "And your sister Rabbitkit has already opened her eyes."

Arrowpaw
She nodded, watching where he placed it. She nodded, then got into position, this time a little bit further off to the side, so she could leap at the frond correctly. She pounced, turning, and then used a but more power as she pushed herself off. She used, again, a little too much power, flying over the frond, and into a bush. It took a minute, but she came back up, sticks and leaves in her fur. She felt a pain in her paw, holding it up, seeing that there was a thorn. She said " I have a thorn in my pad. I'll go see Sunpaw about it." She got out of the bush, shaking her fur out, letting it lay flat, then said " I'll be back! " she ran off awkwardly back to camp, so she could see Sunpaw.

Stonekit snuggled more into his mother, still sound asleep.

Antlerclaw studied her poise, only realizing too late that she was going to put too much power into it. He quickly stepped closer, but she was already springing and he watched helplessly as she missed the frond and was sent flying into the bush. Bristling, he made to pad to her, but she eventually came out. He knocked a few twigs and leaves from her fur with his tail, but stepped aside, looking at her paw.
"Only a thorn? ...All right." He nodded at her decision and stepped aside, watching her go, an ear swiveled back.

Arrowpaw
She soon made it to camp, going to the medicine den, saying " Sunpaw! I need your help!" She saw the she cat, then said "I have a thorn. I was practicing a battle move, but I flew into a bush instead." She held her pad up for the medicine apprentice to see.

Sunpaw
She said " Ok, let me take a look." She looked at the pad, seeing it was a little deep, and then started licking. She finally got it, then she pulled, hearing the apprentice say " Ow!" Sunpaw said " Give it a lick. Come back tomorrow if it swells or still hurts." Arrowpaw nodded, going back to her training.

[Nebelung]

Antlerclaw sat by the frond, shuffling his paws. When he heard pawsteps returning, and recognized his apprentice's scent, he rose to his paws.
"How's your paw?" He moved aside so that she may get to the tree.

[Knuckles the Echidna]

"So where are we? I never hear anyone talking about this place." Maplekit asked. What a curious kit.

"Oh! We're in the nursery, in a place called Leafclan. One day, you'll be a strong warrior, and you will protect and hunt for Leafclan." Grainclaw answered.
