A yawn split Twistedblaze's jaws as his amber eyes blinked themselves open, feeling an absence in the already close to empty space. He lit up as he spotted Blastclaws exiting the warriors' den. "Hey there!" he called, ducking his head as he scrambled out of the reed-woven shelter. "Would you like to maybe take Sunnypaw out with me and Cinderpaw? They could use a bit of training and hunting after last night's rain." He raced toward the slightly muddy fresh-kill pile and picked out a couple of voles. "Or would you maybe like to eat first?"

sunnypaw stretched widely, his tabby fur softly glowing in the sunlight. he debated getting up or going back to sleep, but he decided to get up. he yawned loudly before pricking his ears, his green eyes staring blankly at the ground. he trotted out of his den before calling "hey twisterblaze, blastclaws, do you know if I'm doing anything with cinderpaw today?"

Twistedblaze grinned, nodding to the approaching apprentice. "Yeah! We were thinking of taking you guys hunting because of the storm, and then practice fighting, maybe by Sunningrocks?" He looked to Blastclaws for approval before continuing. "Is she up? I think it would be good if we could head out pretty soon. Early cat gets the bird, or however it goes."

"Maybe one of us can stay behind and tell Cinderpaw when she wakes up?" the deputy suggested, angling an ear towards the apprentice's den. "We should probably decide on a place to go, though. How about near the gorge? Maybe it'll be filled up with rain. Fish might be easier to catch there, if a bit more dangerous."

sunnypaw let out another yawn, before saying "let's go without her. come on blastclaws, let's go to the gorge, maybe it will be fun?" his claws sunk into the ground as he slowly begins waking up more, a small thrill of excitement flashed through him. they barely went to the gorge because of all the storms recently, and how high the water was.

"Well, I guess we could go now," Twistedblaze meowed, trying to keep calm as he nodded. Though he kept it mostly to himself, he shared the excitement of the young apprentice. He chuckled, bouncing out toward where the entrance to camp sat, the reeds drooping from the weight of the water. He beckoned the rest of his little patrol with his tail as he dove out of camp, relieved at the feeling of cool water and air on his fur as he skidding to a stop, sending pebbles splashing down into the water that separated RiverClan's island from the mainland. "Come on!"

Nightwatcher watched the rain form a puddle at his feet. The thunder cracked and he flinched. The rain wasn't as hard as before, and a patrol had just left. He imagined the other clans were probably huddled in their dens, hiding from the storm, but Riverclan cats didn't mind a little water. Even so, he was feeling melancholy sitting in the rain. It had been many moons since the death of his mate, Cinderpaw barely remembered her mother she had been so young. He'd gotten over the main grief a long time ago, but the weather reminded him of Graystorm and it brought back the dull ache of her absence. He gazed off at the medicine cat den where his older child lived and wondered whether she had the same feeling. He didn't talk with Breezefire as much as he probably should. Nightwatcher didn't understand the tecnical stuff that was her job and she seemed perfectly content by herself. He shuffled his paws, wondering what a good father was supposed to do.
