"Of course not, Duskfire." Foxfang mewed back before heading over to the fresh-kill pile.

Frostflower gathered her two remaining kits in her fur and wept silently after hearing Pinekit's tale. When she was done she held onto them before falling into an exhausted, restless slumber.

Thistlekit wriggled out of his mother's grasp and watched as she and Pinekit fell asleep. His heart ached for his brothers and sister and he worried. Then he padded out of the nursery and headed towards the elder's den.

Cheetahpaw nodded. "Yes. We do. These are the roles that we have... The leader of course is in charge of the clan. They set up the patrols they also gain nine lives from Eonclan. Next is Deputy who is a warrior chosen by the leader. They are the second in line and become the leader if something happens to the current one. Then comes the medicine cat. These cats may be even more important than the leader... they are the ones who heal and nurse us after battle or an accident. Then comes the senior warriors who are the older more experienced of all warrior. After the senior warriors come the normal warrior then apprentices and of course kits. Our mthers we call queens... they move into the nursery when they find out their are pregnant. And of course there are the elders who are cats who are too old to be warriors... but that doesn't mean they can't fight." she mewed slowly making sure Twix could follow

it was alot to process, millions of questions flew around twixs mind - she settled on the one that puzzeled her the most "whats this about eonclan? and nine lives? i thought that was a myth?" she questioned fastly, wanting to know the anwers to every thing so no one could ever acuse her being a kittypet again! i'll show them! she thought determindly.

"Eonclan is the place where our ancestors live. After a cat's life is finished here on Earth it goes to hunt in Eonclan." she mewed looking upwards. "And the nine lives is definately not a myth. Our leaders go to the MoonOasis, which is where we can talk to Eonclan cats, and obtain the nine lives they need to lead our clan."

Sharkpaw yawend wakeing up, he felt like he was sleeping for a whole month, he looked over at the apprentice Galaxykit and smiled slightly, he padded out into the camp clearing and remember his dead mentor, he froze and looked at his paws not knowing what to do with himself now that he had no mentor.

Vipertail's fur bvlew around as the wind blew hard. She was cold. wet, and miserable. She wanted to be bak in OasisClan, but couldn't go back...

Thrushbeak woke up. He came out of the warrior's den and looked up at the roiling sky. "Wow, it's looking pretty bad out here. Has Viperstar returned yet?"

Cougarpaw shook his head. "No she hasn't. Should we send a patrol to find out what happened?" he asked

"Probably," Coconutsplash meowed, stepping up from Cougarpaw. "We should check it out."

"Maybe Viperstar got eaten by chuckwallas!" Fireflypaw gasped, picturing their leader being digested by giant desert lizards.
