Burn fell backwards and his tail lit up brightly. "Why do you wanna know?!" He stood up but stumbled backwards again, falling down. Smoke flared out of his nose at his frustration.

Burn stared at the mudkip. "Why.. Why are you helping?" He stood and his tail flame decreased drastically again, flickering instead of burning. He looked towards where the oasis was and could almost feel the cold water.

"Well, you looked like you needed help, and it doesn't hurt to help someone, right? plus, you don't look like the other scary desert pokemon"

Rionan looked at the weak Charmander. She added,"We're looking for runes,and we had to cross the desert to get there. My name is Rionan. Your's?"

[If anyone wants to RP with Helio,he's also in Central Desert. He's just not near Rionan,Burn,Sketch,Leafy,or Thoran. Also he's a bit clumsy at times. Maybe I can work him toward the oasis?]

Helio stood on a palm tree in the middle of a maze of streams. He sighed,"Hmmm.....where does each river lead.......WOAH!" He lost his balance and fell on a riverbank. He smelled other pokemon along the river. He decided to follow that river,wondering where it'll lead him.

Burn started to speak, but choked on sand that flew into his mouth. He coughed for a minute and then regained his composure. "My name is Burn. I don't come from here, which is why I'm not accustomed to the terrain. I have lived her long enough, though, to tell you that the runes are still some ways off. I've been there myself." He paused and looked at the desert on the horizon. He turned and looked back at the others, grinning weakly. "Got any food?"

Rionan muttered as she clawed into her bag,"I know I have a couple berries in here......found them!" She grabbed a Pinap Berry,an Oran Berry,a couple of her healing herbs/powders,and her paw-carved water container. She pawed them to Burn gently.

Helio started drinking from the river,as his throat was extremely dry. He sighed,"If I could just find a couple cactus plants,I would be the happiest Helioptile ever."

Burn grabbed them and scarfed half of it down. It was theirs, and he didn't want to get on their bad side because of his appetite. He took a drink of the water and sighed. "Thank you. I appreciate it." His tail flared up and burned brightly. "That's so much better.."
