Crow stayed where he was, not going in because of what happened earlier. The black tom slid off of the monster and sat next to one of its black paws.

Flower looked outside to see a black tom next to a tire. "Who's that?" She asked.

"Oh, he's Crow." Rain replied, glancing back at him.

"Hi crow!" Flower said. "Why are you over there?"

Crow saw the new kitten and waved his tail back at her with a smile. "I'm guarding this monster," He called back. "Other cats might try to take my resting place if I don't."
