Seeing as her friend was still snoozing the day away, she leaves the safe border of her fence and crouches at the river side. Water from the mountains overflowed the river as the snow melted more and more everyday, making it impossible to cross this time. By the time summer came around the stones that scattered the river would surface again, opening up her exploring range once more. For now, she sits and stares across the river for movement. Those wild cats usually 'patrolled' by here once every other day.

Lightpaw's head lifted, a surprised expression spreading slowly across her face. A tom? Talking to her? She swallowed nervously, offering her most nervous-looking smile ever, and staring at her paws. "H-Hi, Triggerpaw!" she squeaked, wrapping her long tail around her front paws. Stay calm and act normal.. You might make a friend today, Lightpaw! She thought excitedly to herself, kneading the ground like the anxious cat she was.

He smiled softly, seeing she was nervous. "How are you?" He asked politely, his voice soft and calm. Wow... She's really pretty... He thought, accidentally staring at her.

"O-oh, umm.. I'm good, how are you?" she asked shyly, now smiling for real as she glanced upwards, a pair of violet-blue eyes meeting his own. She noticed his stare and quickly started to feel her ears grow hot; was there something on her face? Did she get mud on her nose while they were dragging Wolfheart back? Lightpaw swallowed thickly, her mind scanning the embarrassing thoughts for possible happenings.

He realized she had noticed him staring. He quickly shook his head and looked away, his whiskers growing hot. "S-sorry," He mewed quietly. "But I think you're really pretty," He added, making sure she didn't think she had something bad on her face. His eyes glimmered as he looked into hers, smiling softly.

Lightpaw's eyes widened, and she could feel her ears getting warmer by the second. Pretty was definitely a compliment, but why did it make her feel so.. so flustered?! "U-um.. Thank you!" She said in an overly-loud voice, eyes still wide as they could go. "You're really pretty too!" She gasped, unsure of what to say or how to say it. She'd never been called pretty before, much less communicated with, especially with toms her own age, so this was.. Shocking, almost.
