Cherrybreeze awoke in the nursery, yawning and snuggling near her kits. "Good morning Moonlily," she purred to the other queen, groggily.

"Good Morning Cherrybreeze," Moonlily murmured instinctively, waking up and stretching out on her belly, almost sure her kits would come today. She realized Autumnkit had woken and gone back to his mother, but she couldn't blame him. She stood up and arched her back, flexing each leg in turn. Fully awake now, she shook out her pelt then laid back down, twisting her neck to groom the ruffled fur on her back.

"Aren't they precious?" she sighed, delighted, and nuzzled Ebonykit, who decided to nurse. "When are yours coming Moonlily? Soon?" Cherrybreeze purred, her gaze fixed on Moonlily's large belly.

"They certainly are," Moonlily replied with a small chuckle, gazing at Cherrybreeze's four kits. "I think Autumnkit has taken a liking to me," she added, smiling. "And today I'm hoping. Meadowpelt said it is possible for them to come today. They'd definitely be coming soon," she annexed again, a soft purr beginning to rise up through her throat and vibrate her whole body. She really hoped they'd come today. Then maybe hers and Cherrybreeze's kits would become apprentices at the same time, and then warriors at the same time... This brought on a small smile.

"Congratulations!" Cherrybreeze purred. "They'll all be around the same age, so they'll be able to play with each other! This will be wonderful," Cherrybreeze mewed. "It's a bit exhausting, but it's completely worth it when you look at their faces, and know that they're yours. I almost don't want my kits to grow up. Still Moonlily, I'm very happy for you!"

"Thanks," Moonlily replied with a purr, even stronger this time. "And I know, perfect timing right?" she chuckled softly, then suddenly began to focus on the kicks, trying to count them in which places they'll be. "I think... I think there will be 2 or 3. But, of course, it's hard to tell," Moonlily shrugged simply. "I guess it will just be a joyful surprise, then," her purr grew even stronger now. She was purposely avoiding the thought of looks, and hoped Cherrybreeze didn't bring up the father...

"I wish you the best," Cherrybreeze purred. "They'll be beautiful with you as the mother! Have you thought of names yet? Or are you waiting until they're born?"

Moonlily solemnly dipped her head in thanks, then acknowledged Cherrybreeze's next statement with a smile. At the thought of names, which she had never really thought about before, she couldn't help but stare off into space for a few seconds, thinking. "No, I haven't picked out names yet. I think I'm just going to wait until they're born, and hopefully their names will just come to me," she answered with a light laugh. She couldn't imagine what they would look like... Immediately she was forced back into a flashback. The same longhaired silver tabby tom as before was clawing, hissing, scratching, and biting on top of a white and black tom. The second tom, the losing one, was her brother. The silver tabby finished off the tom with a swift bite to the neck, Moonlily's brother going limp. Moonlily, who had been too struck with fear to move, had finally broken out of her daze and began shrieking at the silver tabby tom. He had hissed at her in reply, and lunged at her, hatred in his eyes as he had dug his teeth deep into her shoulder... Moonlily desperately clutched at her mossy nest with her claws, breathing hard as she rid her mind of the haunting memory.
