Foxpaw cringed as she watched, although the incident didn't involve blood, she still haded the sight of the splinter digging into the soft skin of the apprentices pad. She had to turn away as sights like this grossed her out... Which was weird because she was fine with prey's blood and injuries, but she had a strange phobia when it came to cats being hurt. She was glad she wasn't badly injured because she'd probably have to help out with medicine cat stuff to make her life worth living, but she couldn't think of a more gross life than helping out with sick and diseased cats.

Frostgaze bounded ahead of Thornheart, grateful to get out of the stuffy camp. She always feels so claustrophobic inside it, but she should be happy she has a home. A gentle breeze lifted the fur on her face, such a light touch she almost flinched backwards. The breeze also carried the promising scent of prey. Almost immediately her mouth started to water, but she turned around to wait for Thornheart's instruction.

Russetwind let his eyes wander around the camp, but they rested on Wildfur. The young tortiseshell she-cat caught his eye and he decided he wanted to talk to her. Slowly he stood up and began to make his way over to her. Most cats said he walked funny; that he'd look like he'd walked through a thicket of bramble bushes, so that hurt his pride a little bit, but for the most part he didn't care. So as not to scare the small she-cat, he called out "Hey, Wildfur! Nice morning, isn't it? He gently sat next to her and curled his tail around his paws.

Thornheart ran a ways from the camp then stop to take in the scents of the forest. He could smell many things, pine needles, mice, rabbit, squirrel, and faintly that some cats from the clan had came through here awhile ago. He saw a small brown head pop out of a brush pile about five foxlengths away and immediately moved into crouching position. He flicked his tail, motioning to Frostgaze to do the same. He started crawling toward the rabbit as not to let it catch their scent. Sneak up behind it, we may be able to catch it by surprisehe said as he crawled over towards it's right side.

Frostgaze copied Thornheart when she saw the rabbit. As Thornheart went right, she crawled over to the rabbit's left side, careful not to startle it. She slowed her breathing and made sure to keep her belly and tail from dragging the ground. Once she got into a good position where she could see the rabbit and Thornheart, she waited for him to get ready.

As soon as Thornheart saw Frostgaze in place he wobbled slightly getting ready to dart towards the rabbit. He smelled one last time before he lept upon the rabbit. He threw himself forward and chased the small rabbit closer to where Frostgaze was hiding.Now! he yowled to Frostgaze as they came within a cat length of her hiding spot.

Wildfur looked up and smiled at him, she was glad as to have some company as Duskflight hadn't talked much to her. She tilted her head as she listened to him before straightening it to reply "Heya Russetwind, and yeah, it is really nice, its good to feel so warm!" she purred with a large smile. She glanced around before letting her eyes settle once again on the tom in front of her. She too curled her tail over her paws in anticipation to his reply.

(I'm back! Sorry I poofed so suddenly, but I had to have a shower, dry my hair, straighten it and get my things ready for college tomorrow.)

Flamepaw

She paused her licking, tongue hanging out as Leaftremble came over and offered to remove the splinter from her pad. Being the stubborn little cat she was, Flamepaw refused to let the warrior remove it for her. She should be used to splinters now, and she had long since learnt how to remove them. After all, it was a simple task, and could easily be done by any cat.

"I can do it myself, thanks," she meowed, with her ears back a little. Bending her head, Flame paw continued licking for a few more moments before grasping the splinter between her fangs and pulling it out ina quick motion. As she spat it to the side, a drop of blood welled from the small wound. Turning back, she licked it away and shook her fur. "Sorry. We should continue training."
