"Crayfish hunting!" At that moment, a grey blur shot out from under a rock. He pounced into the shallow water with a happy meow. After a few seconds, he returned with a large crawfish and a proud beam.

Cinder Birch's grin grew wider as he set the prey down. "It's like fish, but more tasteful. You just have to find the weak points in the shell. Raccoons like them as well. Only the tail area tastes good, just a warning." He waved a paw dismissively. "I'm not sure why they look funny. Maybe they're water spiders?"
