thornwind :

"Minnowpaw.. I am just happy that you can live to see another day,"
Thornwind mewed calmly and quietly. Glancing over at Featherdawn. Wanting to
talk to her but almost to shy. Thornwind realized this is the most he has ever talked
in one day to lamps that aren't in his family. Staring straight into her eyes with a
low voice, "Thank you Featherdawn," he mewed before resting his head on the ground
again. His bones still aching and his muscles on fire. Thornwind managed to keep it
all in except for a small groan here and there.

froststorm :

Once they had arrived at the sight Froststorm's jaw dropped. There
was blood all around the entrance of the fox hole. "Thornwind.. Minnowpaw..
Featherdawn.. oh my.." she mewed quietly to herself. Froststorm turned to Rabbittail,
"Alright we need a plan." Glancing around and seeing all of the leafy trees and idea
popped into her head. "I think we should make whining noises as if we are week and
be in the trees. If any foxes are in there they won't be able to resist it if they are
hungry," she mewed confidently. Glancing over at Rabbittail she grew slightly
embarrassed that she didn't ask him anything on his opinions.

Rabbittail & Froststorm

brightfern :

Slowly making her way downwind of them, Brightfern was staying as
close as possible to hear what they were saying. As soon as they arrived at the scene
she nearly gasped. making sure to keep silent she sealed her mouth closed so no sound
will leave. Brightfern heard Froststorm's plan and knew she should be in a tree too.
Slowly but surely she went up a nearby tree that neither of the lamps would go up.

Featherdawn frowned and thought to herself; I didn't do anything. But she was relieved that Thornwind wasn't angry at her for it. She kept sitting there.

|Rabbittail|

He listened to Froststorm's idea intently. 'Couldn't have thought of a better one myself.' He said with a smile. He made his way over to a tree and climbed up to a branch at a good height for this plan.

Thornwind saw that Featherdawn didn't respond to his compliment.
Thinking something was up "Featherdawn.. is everything okay?" he managed to mew.

froststorm :

Climbing up a tree, Froststorm glanced over at Rabbittail and giving
him a short nod. Then Froststorm yowled in pain before whining as loud as she could
to bring any foxes out as "bait."

Featherdawn whipped her head up quickly at Thornwind's words and tried to force a smile, hoping it was working.

|Rabbittail|

Rabbittail began meowing with Froststorm, one adult fox strolled out with its children, but didn't look up. Stupid thing. Rabbittail thought to himself. He looked over at Froststorm.

Thornwind wasn't convinced. "Featherdawn.. is everything okay?" he
mewed sternly. While waiting for her response feeling his tail twitch with anticipation.

froststorm :

Froststorm cursed silently as the other foxes came out of the entrance.
Looking over at Rabbittail and flicking her tail to the trees. They needed to jump from
tree to tree to stay safe. As quietly as possible jumping from branch to branch and
making it farther and farther away from the foxes, getting closer to camp.

{ brightfern is following them and makes it back to camp sooner than they do so it was like she never left. I will post for her later. }

He followed his companion, trying to be as quiet as possible so the foxes wouldn't hear.

|Featherdawn|

She kept trying to smile. 'It's fine, you matter more with all your scratches and wounds.' She said, hoping he wouldn't ask again.

Giving up the fight, Thornwind backed off. Sighing and
closing his eyes, and carefully setting his head just inside the edge of
the nest. Allowing the smells and small sounds not get to his head, and
allow him to drift off into sleep.

froststorm :

Spotting Brightfern ahead and quickly alerting her of what
happened, Froststorm brought her attention back to Rabbittail. Only
glancing back once to see Brightfern trying to find Oakstar. "So that was
a lot of fun.." Froststorm mewed.

Featherdawn frown, she wanted to be happy so she wouldn't have to force it, forcing it was just making her sadder. She decided she needed to get away from everything and wanted to go hunting, she got up and walked around Thornwind and Minnowpaw. She walked out of the camp into the forest. She walked for a fair bit before bumping into Pinewhisker.
