(Heey, I'm back! Was doing netball trials and now have a sprained left index finger after it collided with the ball straight on - my bone has a teeny as chip out of it. Sorry if I'm any slower at typing. I'm not sure if one hand and a pinky counts as particularly fast...)
Tala smiled at Slade. She was accepted!
I'm collecting the 2020 Easter bunnies designed by Anouki. They're based on a
Japanese pottery technique where items are repaired by glueing the pieces back
together with a (typically) gold lacquer. It's called "kintsugi" and the idea behind
this is that broken things can still be beautiful, a mantra that has helped me cope
with the latest years of my depression. I've been saving up for a tattoo, to be my
first one, which will also be fashioned after kintsugi. That's why this design holds
a lot of sentimental value for me and, consequently, why I'm setting up a hoard
for them: to remind myself that even though I'm still struggling now, I will get
better. Please help me with this hoard. Thanks for reading. ~Love from Moony

Tala walked to Slade and sat on his left side.

(Thanks. I've done it twice now. Same hand, different finger. Last time, I jammed my little pinky in a door and there was a crack right beneath the top joint! Now isn't as painful, but I have a bruise. Hope yours turned out ok

(Oww... Just don't follow in my footsteps- I walk into walls and I get hit by parked cars.) Slade smiled. "Our pack is very loyal, and each member has a special job. Mine, is to protect and lead the pack. Aastra's and many others job is to go hunting and feed our pack." He said. "When we get back to camp, I will choose what position you will have. Our pack is made up of loners and abandoned cubs."

Slade smiled. He started to walk into a rose thorn bush. "Don't worry, the thorns are long gone." Slade said, following his pack's path. He pounced on Aastra's small creature. Slade handed it to Aastra and then pulled out some leaves from the bush. "Eat these. They'll make you feel better." He mumbled, dropping them at her paws.

Tala memorised every word Slade said. She wasn't a cub, but she was definitely a loner.
