Amar:
He took a step forward. "Ara has talked of ghosts and haunts in these woods, perhaps it was something of that sort." He said, ears pricked forward. Amar's tail stuck out nervously behind him, flicking back and forth quickly. "Well, we aren't going to get any where by standing here like a couple of rabbits." He joked, pushing his head through the bushes. "Nothing!" He laughed, turning around. "Have a look for yourself." The other side of the bushes was open to the moonlight, a single beam touching down at the very center of the clearing where a spring burbled from a cluster of rocks.

Viho shook his head. "I trust you. Lets get moving." He padded off, heading in the direction Ara had requested. "Amar... So how did you meet the pack? Through the family or another way?" He cocked his head, looking back at the young male. "I found the pack on my wanders, worked my way up in the ranks until I was second in command." He shrugged, smirking. "It is a nice role, but to tell the truth... I just like being closer to Ara..." He blushed, looking away. "I know, I know. Creepy right?"

Amar:
Amar hunched his shoulders and wrinkled his nose. "You know she's like fifty years older than you, right?" He asked, his voice skeptic. "But yes, I was born into the pack. The Huru is not a recent group, Ara's grandmother was the first leader of it, and seeing how long she has lived you can guess how long ago that was." He tipped his head to the side as if he was trying to remember something. "Furi Night-wing was her name, if what Ara says is true. Ara's my great, great Aunt, maybe even more 'greats' than that, who knows?" He looked up at the moon, now high in the sky. The land was beginning to slope downwards as they entered the old wolf territory, the markers long washed away.

Viho blushed further, hanging his head. "Think what you will of me, but I know what I feel..." He trotted off, growling at himself. Why couldn't he be like most of the other male wolves, falling in love with the first female to cross his path... Why did he have to be so difficult and fall in love with one that could never be with him... His mind was seriously messed up. "Amar, scent the air. Your nose is more finely tuned than mine..." Then again, it didn't help that he had a large cut over it, blocking some of his smell anyway...

Amar nodded, but stopped as his foot crunched on something. "Wolf bones!" He yelped, jumping backwards. "Look! Skulls!" He was right, just under a covering of leaves skulls leered, empty eyes just menacing shadows. Leg bones were scattered in here and there, but it was the skulls that were the most terrifying. "They were all unhurt." He said, nosing a skull around. No marks blemished it other than a few smears from the mud. "How did they all die?" He asked. The younger wolf looked terrified, eyes wide. "There is no one here any more, if there was they aren't here any more." Amar yelped, backing up with his ears flat.

Viho looked around, slightly startled at the scene around him. What had happened here? He had found wolf bones durying a patrol before, but never undamaged ones. This was unheard of... They had been there long enough for their bodies to decompose to leave only the bone... How interesting...

Amar:
He nodded and stood back, eyes flicking back and forth as he took in the terrifying scene. "It's like they all just lay down and died!" He said, fear coming into his voice. "I've lived with a Weaver for all of my life, but I can tell you this is unnatural on all fronts, the Weaver's world or otherwise." He said softly, carefully putting a skull back in place. Ara would be awaiting for them at dawn, but they would not be bearers of good tidings. "Let us leave this place, Viho. It is old and dead and is hospitable to no wolves, including us. No one would live here." He turned to go, stepping on a pelvis as he did so.
