Synpath B is a non-lethal strain of an extra-terrestrial disease found usually only within micro-organisms living inside the cores of asteroids surrounding Saturn.
Skin to skin contact is it’s only form of transmission, and was almost an impossibility to spread to Earth.
Though when it did, such an outbreak was the downfall of an entire remote town in the Denmark mountains.
And that was just its start.
Scientists were employed to help secure and contain the specimens remaining from the outbreaks, the original specimen was secured, but one newly turned and panicked specimen escaped, and little by little, the disease pops up again and again.
Most governments are on high alert to this illness, and special forces are always on standby to be deployed to capture and dispose of specimens created from this illness.
Spores created within the skin and resting on the tips of the fur from these creatures spreads the illness to other living humanoid forms.
Sentience, memories and brain function are the only things kept once the illness is spread. The entire unique form of the creature is changed irreparably to this new form, and once changed, this creature is highly infectious.
This new form is deceivingly inviting to humans.

Short, raccoon like bodies
2 antennae on top of the head
2 morphs of tails - thin with hair tuft at the end + bushy large tails almost the size of the body
A pair of moth like wings
3 toes on each limb - one thumb

Most of the fur on the bodies are usually common fur colors found on Earthen animals, but other more abnormal colors may be found near the antennae, wings and tail
