Hopefully this is still open
"Do I seem scary to them..?"Theme Song;;SIAMÉS-The WolfCatchphrase;;"Don't you think It would cooler to be a villain than a superhero?"
GINO"There was a quiet town, settled in the further parts of the woods. No one dared to step a foot outside of their homes, except one brave soul. They were always curious about the outside world, but was told to never go outside. "Listen here boy, you are to never go beyond this town, no beyond your home," he was told. When he asked why, he was always told the same answer, "There are beings out there who don't understand creatures like us. They wouldn't hesitate to kill you on sight." Despite all the warnings, he still went against their rules and ventured outside of town. He could never go past the woods though, there was a force that stopped him from going through. One day, a group of strange looking creatures went into the town. However, when Gino ran back to town to warn and possibly rescue his friends, he was surprised to see that the beings just stood there. Gino saw his friends stood outside of their homes, clutching each other's hands. They look sorrowfully at Gino, some turned away in guilt. He stared back at them worried, and stood there anxiously wondering about what was going to happen next. I forgot what happened next, I just know that the next day, or days, I woke up with a painful headache. Sadly, my friends never talked to me anymore from that day on. It was lonely not to be able to talk to anyone. I never knew why - were they mad at me, did I do something wrong, what happened to those weird looking creatures? All these questions filled my head at that time, but i never got an answer back. Then a miracle happened, all these new creatures started to move into town. They all looked so different from me, some had spikes, wings, and some had three glowing eyes! It was like a monster migration, and they picked my town! I was just so happy because that meant I was going to make new friends. I wondered about what stories they would tell, what places they've been to before they moved into my town, etc. I missed my old friends, they still hung around but some disappeared after time has passed. I was hoping we could all be friends with the new creatures, but my old friends just gave me the cold shoulder. That didn't stop me from getting excited, I was finally going to meet new friends! That never happened though because these new creatures didn't like me, and they didn't like my friends at all. They just ignored my friends, pretending that they weren't there. And for me? These creatures only stared at me when I tried talking to them. When they weren't "talking" to me, they would talk with the other creatures and say all sorts of stuff about me.
"That guy gives me the chills, have you seen him talking to himself?"
"I heard from others that he likes to deal with black magic when we're not looking."
"Yikes! I hope he doesn't do stuff to us."
"He could be possessed for all we know."
"We probably shouldn't have moved to this creepy town! I thought all the creatures that username to live here were gone, but I occasionally hear whispers in my home, lights turning on and off by themselves, and when I'm sleeping I hear scratches in my closet."
That was just some of the nicer stuff they talked about me, and my town. I don't get why they don't like me, I haven't done anything bad to them, yet they still do these things to me till this day. I just feel mad deep inside, you know?"Gino watched as the squirrel scurried away further into the woods.
"It was nice talking to you too!"
He diverted his attention to the town, staring at his old friends. They just stood there watching at our new "friends". Gino settled his chin on his paw, thinking.
"Why do these creatures pretend that they can't see my friends, It's not like my friends are ghosts.."
Extra notes;;His friends are ghosts, I wasn't sure how to reveal that in the story though. Gino doesn't know..yet
Gino did die in the story, he just doesn't remember how. He probably did get hanged because of the part where he said he got a headache a few days after those people came into the town.
Gino hates going around town without his cloak. After an incident, he doesn't ever want people to know what's under the cloak. It's not too bad but Gino thinks It's something he rather take to his grave. Also, since that event that happened Gino carries a few knives under the cloak, just in case the same thing will happen again. Besides, he doesn't want the townspeople to be even more suspicious and scared of him.
Other people can't see Gino's friends, the ghosts, because there are two kinds of ghosts - one that no one can see because they've lived their life so they have no part of them longing to be alive again. The other kind of ghost is the one, people can see because a part of them still wants to live. So In other words, people can see Gino because in a way he's still "alive," when Gino feels that he's ready to move on with his life he'll move onto the afterlife with his friends. On the other hand, his friends have a chance to move onto the afterlife but they decide to stay for now because of Gino. They all feel guilty, and some of them have unfinished business to deal with. (I don't know xD, this all sounded better in my head)
I'm already imagining how this town would look and all, If I get Gino, I would automatically work more on his story draw the town that this story takes place in
Imagine the town to be similar to this

His home would be like the Mystery Shack
(Gino's home is a lot more secluded than the others. After more and more of his old friends, the ghosts, started to disappear, and since he doesn't have any friends in town other than them, he decided to move a little far away from town. He doesn't really like to stay in his house for too long though, he prefers the woods more.)

The world Gino lives in used to be scarce of monsters, but not more monsters are appearing. Humans and monsters still don't get along. They find monsters manipulative and vicious. However, they do let them live in peace as long as they follow a set of rules - they can only live in a specific town (Gino's town), they should never go outside of their homes even for a second, go past camp or the woods, If they do they'll suffer the consequences, never interact with humans, and lastly abandon their old ways and become reformed. Moving to the present, the new monsters that moved to Gino's town are reformed, or at least most of them. They don't scare the living daylights out of people anymore, and they certainly don't kill them. As long as they and their whole community of monsters change for the better, they don't have to suffer any punishments. That's why they isolate Gino, he's a lot different than them and he scares them on a whole new level. They don't know Gino doesn't know his friends are ghosts, and assumes that everyone can see his friends. In this world, monsters can't see ghosts unless they're the one of those ghosts that want to live again like Gino. They do believe in ghosts, but they think that ghosts are more evil than Gino thinks. That they are demons, or possessed souls from the underworld.
Imagine his world to be like this (I'm trying to think of some creative names for the world)
Facts;;He keeps a journal where he write about his encounters with different kinds of monsters, humans, cases of monsters going rogue, where all the monsters came from, etc.
He never knew his mother, he just knew his mother disappeared/she actually ran away but Gino doesn't know, when he was a child, that his mother was a monster, she was known to be beautiful but had a bad personality. Gino never knew his father, he doesn't plan on finding him anyways.
When he lies, his nose starts to twitch
He likes it help humans in secret by getting rid of the monsters that pester them. Gino isn't supposed to interact with humans so he just helps the monster get away, besides in these cases only the monster will get punished.
He's a terrible trickster. Being "reformed" doesn't mean you can't do the one thing monsters extremely loved to do in the past, and that is tricking people. The whispers behind the walls, it's probably him doing that to scare you. Sometimes his tricks get a little out of control, and not a lot of monsters like being tricked. They find Gino's tricks annoying, disturbing, and sometimes dangerous.
For the story, It's kind of like an add-on to the story you wrote. I love the story you wrote for Gino! I just put some things to add to the original story, like my own interpretation of the story.
The reason why I like this design so much is because of Gino's design, It's seemingly so simple but that's what makes his design so pretty. Also, I like him because he's kind of like one of those characters that makes people misunderstand and judge them at the first glance. If I get Gino, I want to develop him and give him so much love. So when someone first sees Gino, instead of thinking that "wow he seems like a creepy character", i mean he is but that's not the only thing about him, after they read small things about his personality and stop tom get to know him more they'll instead think "wow he does seem like a creepy character, but also one that you feel bad for and want to hug to make them feel better." In other words, If I have Gino, I want to make him into a character people probably will judge by their design but also understand them a little more though their personality, story, etc. It's a little similar to how you could some people can sympathize/empathize with a villain, I want people to be able to do that with Gino although he' said not really a villain, more like a misunderstood soon-to-be bad guy.
