Drake didn't stop, he was going to keep going until she screamed. He knew the pain it was causing the girl, and that she was just barely holding her screams in.

Jason took a step back again, bracing himself. "Go ahead, send wizard flame through me. You are NOT putting that thing on me." He said, shaking his head, taking another step back.

River continued to writhe, amazed at the cruelty of Drake. She was determined not to scream, but could not hold out much longer.

Hestia spoka an immobalization charm and put the torc on Jason, then took off the charm.

[fly away.]

Drake didn't even hestitate and kept pushing the wizard flame through her, stupid stupid girl.

Jason hated wizardy, no matter how much of a wizard he was. He touched the torc, and muttered a curse word under his breath, before looking at her.

River finally screamed from the pain of the flames. She whimpered, begging him to stop. Even through the flames, she felt embaressed at her weakness and awed at his power. How could he keep up a spell this long?

Hestia glared back at him, saying, "You KNOW I had to put that torc on you."

[fly away.]

Drake stopped, "That's all you needed to do." He said, before pushing her back into the room, where Jessica ran over to her.

"No you didn't, you already have a godd*mn spell on me, convincing everyone that I'm not a wizard. Which I am!" Jason yelled the last part, shaking his head.

River shivered, head down and eyes on the ground in submission. How could she have been so stupid? She knew, however, that she would continue to attempt escape, no matter how futile it might be. The defiant spark blazed again in her eyes, and she stood straight, though she resolved to plan her escape better next time.

"How do you think Lily would have felt, if I didn't use her gift? Besides, this torc is even better than the spell; I can let you use your powers in a certain way after a simple spell. Anyways, what I can and can not do is of no mater to you. If you wish to eat tonight, you WILL go back out there and act RESPECTFUL for once!", Hestia informed him in a cold, detached tone. Then she went back to her guests- for the last time that night, she resolved firmly- leaving it to Jason to decide whether he got another meal that day.

[fly away.]

Jessica looked River up and down, so she had gotten the flame. "Come on," she said softly, gently taking River's arm. "You can watch, okay?"

Jason stood there for a minute, constantly touching the torc on his neck. He was just trying to compose himself, brace himself for the worst. For their eyes, hungrily looking him up and down. Why couldn't he be Anaweir? Then he wouldn't have to be worrying about this kind of thing. HE WAS A WIZARD! They couldn't do this to him, he wasn't a servant guild. For a second more, he stood there, until finally, he walked into the living room.

River followed silently and without resisting. She was still in a bit of shock from the demanding pain of the flames.

Hestia was sitting on the couch across from the others, and their conversation continued just as before. They did not notice Jason, or perhaps just ignored him, when he walked into the room. Busily checking papers, they spoke of wizard politics and warriors.

Jessica led her over to a table, where they were trying a bunch of different things to make the dryne sefas. Everything failed, just as Jessica predicted.

Well that was easier than expected, Jason went over and stood in a corner, still facing them, listening to their every word. Though it was wizard politics, so it was boring. Jason felt bad for the warriors, all the pain they had to suffer, to just get slaughtered in a fight.

River glanced around at the sorcerors, and felt pity for them. How could someone PUNISH them for failing at the impossible? Quietly, she sat at the table and watched them work, listening in on whatever conversation she could hear- though, admittedly, ther wasn't much. River wondered if this was becuause they were focusing on work, or if they were depressed because there was no way they could suceed. "How much time do you have?", she asked, quietly.

Lily finally stood up, saying that it was time she should go. The other men nodded, and Hestia went to see them to the door, ordering Jason to follow and get their coats from the hanger. Then she turned back to her guests, chatting and saying her good-byes. She decided to have one of her other slaves teach Jason what he was supposed to do.
