Hestia nodded, "Participants into the ring. The match will begin on Drake's word."

River shivered. Jason seemed pretty confident... and most of the attack spells in the book were pretty nasty. She spoke the words to the shield spell in her head, over and over again, and stepped into the ring.

[fly away.]

Jason stepped into the ring, his eyes not focused on anything particularly.

Drake watched as the two stepped into the ring, and then he said, "Go."

The minute the word was said Jason spilled out the imbolization spell.

River spoke the counter-charm quickly. It was one of the few she had known well, but she was not good at the actual immobilization spell, so she also spoke the shield spell quickly and efficiently. She knew she could not continue to rely on defense, and tried to remember the few attack spells she had actually memorized.

Hestia nodded to herself; defense spells were always useful.

[fly away.]

Jason put a sheild up as well, he didn't want to hurt her. He tried to remember a good spell, he spoke the charm for fire(like real fire, you know?), aiming it at her feet. Just to scare her, make her drop down her shield.

Drake watched, nodding to himself.

River concentrated hard, keeping the shield up while chanting the spell for water, putting out his fire before it could reach her, and sending out to drench him. Shaking with effort, she tried to remember the words to the other spells she had learned.

Hestia spoke quietly to Drake, "You can see that they are avoiding any of the good attack spells... perhaps we should MOTIVATE them more."

[fly away.]

Jason spoke his imbolization charm again, though, he knew it probably wouldn't work. He sent more fire aimed at her feet, he didn't want to hurt her.

Drake nodded, smirking malicously, "Anything certain you had in mind?"

River kept her sheild up and spoke the counter- spell again. Then she chanted a spell that sent rocks flying at HIM, thinking they would be deflected by the sheild.

Hestia spoke, smiling thinly, "Not really- do you?" She knew that the two wizards were NOT preforming to the best of their abilities...

[fly away.]

Jason deflected the rocks wih his shield. He muttered the spell for fire, an before she could react to it, he sent rocks flying her way as well.

Drake had a perfect idea, but he didn't mention it. "Give them a second, then we'll motivate them."

River dodged all the rocks but one, which struck her, hard, near her knee on her left leg. Wincing with pain, she stumbled and then caught herself, standing as straight as she could and setting the shield back up. Calling to the plants, she caused them to reach out towards Jason.

Hestia nodded, impatient.

[fly away.]

Jason saw the planets, and quickly spoke the counter charm. He had seen how he had hurt her, and he didn't want to anymore. He didn't want to cause her pain. He remembered a spell he knew, it wasn't an attack spell, persay. It made any wizard go silent, without pain, unlike Hestia had threatened him with. The spell would silence her, so he didn't have to cause he any more pain. He had flipped through the defensive spell section, and it didn't seem to have the counter charm. He quickly spoke the charm, aiming to silence her.

Drake watched, "NOW we can motivate them, because it doesn't seem like this will end soon."
