Zodix put his arm around her, "Are you angry with me?" he asked softly. "You seem to be annoyed with me." he smelled something foreign on her but he couldn't place it. He kept his mouth shut but was a bit suspicious.

Kita shrugged. "When were you planning on telling me you're engaged?" She asked, grinning at him.

Zodix laughed and smiled, "Well my nosy little daugter, I was going to tell you and give you this in the car." he held out a gift wrapped box out to her. In it was a heart shaped locket with a picture of the tree of them in it and the other side was empty. She was free to put any picture she wanted in that side. He paused in the hallway, "Open it."

Onyx slowly crept out of the bathroom and opened the door slowly to look out into the hallway.

Kita strung the locket around her neck, and smiled at him. "Thanks daddy." She murmured, and slid into the car. She already knew the strange boy named Onyx would take the other side, but she didn't know how or when. It was just a simple fact. She yawned, and curled up next to him. "I'm tired..."

Zodix slid in the car and he embraced her, "Your welcome kitty." he told her softly and rubbed her back as the car started to pull from the curb. He told her in a whisper, "Go to bed."

Onyx smiled in her direction and he walked out ofthe hotel and strode down the sidewalk before dashing into the woods and he made his way back home. His 'dad's' words echoed in his mind but he was growing fond of this girl. Could he betray her? His hands went to his back. The pain he would be inflicted for disobeying. It was unimaginable. Also sice he was in Shadow's pack nothing was stopping him from tearin him to pieces and leaving him just alive enough for his wolf body to heal slowly and painfully.

Kita yawned and slowly, painfully slowly, she fell asleep in her dad's lap, just like she used to when she was a little kid.

Zodix watched her with a smile, his girl. He couldn't imagine how happy he could have been because he coulnt be any happier. He had everything, even though he had once been attacked and made Into this beast in highschool, he was glad to have met the strange new girl in school and take her home the day he got out early and almost ran over her.

Kita woke with a start as they pulled into the driveway. "Home." She breathed in relief.

Zodix nodded, "Yes kitty, we are home. Going to go to bed in your own room or are you going to go find Sebastian and kick his a** for fun?"

"Sleep." She said instantly, and rolled out of the car, shifting and running inside to leap on her bed.

Liz was laying in the grass outside, and staring at the sky. She yawned, crossing her legs and blinking.

Jez walked outside and smiled wearily at Zodix. "Welcome home love."
