"Well, this one's a boy and me and Skyle were stuck for names so we called it Rio after your old one that was a boy," she explained, happy that he seemed to like it, though her eyes seemed to penetrate his thoughts. "Uncle Skyle told me what happened to your arm, Daddy. This one and its Mummy didn't hurt me. It won't hurt you, either. Pinky promise."
~ Yue-Tala
Tala nodded threateningly at Skyle as if to say, "Fine, but we WILL talk." She placed the puppy on the ground where it proved Sonja's point by continuing to lick her face.

[*QUIT*]

Vespen gulped and glanced at Tala then back at Sonja. "How about you give Daddy a few hours to recoop. It's been a busy day. Go put...", saying the name made him choke back several tears and grit his teeth, "...Rio in me and Mommy's room. Okay?"

The phoenix glanced over and raised a wing. "I'll transport it," she volunteered, "because I can get to the hospital and back faster than any of you could. I'll be right back," she smiled at her mate, "so save the photos!" She took the puppy from Tala and flew off, low in case the puppy had a fear of heights.

~ Yue-Tala / Sonja
Tala watched her little three year old - well, one of them - scuttle off towards Liza and the others, so she turned to Vespen and cupped his face in hers. "Are you alright, sweetheart?" she asked, concern on her face and worry in her voice.

[*QUIT*]

Vespen took deep breaths and didn't answer her for a few seconds. "I... I don't know..." He pushed away her hands from his face and put his head between her collar bone and her head. "but... you understand what happened, right? I don't want to seem like an insane lunitic. Even though Sonja probabley thinks that now."

Feng nodded to his mate and watched her fly away with the cerberus. Because of his and Vespen's bonding he too saw the cerberus, but only glimpses. But even with the things he saw it made him puff up his feathers.

~ Yue-Tala
Tala wrapped her arms around his neck instead, completing the little hug. "I understand, Vespen... But you have to realise, that cerberus was different. I know you probably have a fear of the breed, but this one didn't attack a helpless three-year-old - and the Gods save Skyle from my wrath about that later - so I'm sure it's pup won't, either. Did you see how vigorously it was licking little Sonja's face?" She kissed his cheek, still hugging him tightly. "I know what happened and I know that you have to live with it every day, but how do you know that this pup will end up like the one from YEARS ago? That's like saying that a girl broke your heart when you were little so you never showed your feelings to any after that. Look at us. Give it a chance, Ves." she murmured.

(Dei can't get on til the first of Feb and that's the day after tomorrow)

Vespen sighed as she hugged him. He nodded softly at what she said. When she had finished he chuckled very lighty, "I feel like I'm being disiplined. But... how can we be sure that the pup won't turn out to be like it's aggressive wild counterparts?: After cursing to himself he shook his head, "I know I'm being childish, but I can't not be wary around any beast nowadays." He felt himself getting off topic, "Anyways, the thing I'm trying to say is; I love you and the kids very dearly, but you can't change a memory only fade it. And I have a feelign this one won't go away. But thanks for trying." His head was removed from her delicate neck and he put his forehead to hers, then kissed her lovingly on the lips. "Shall we go to get pictures now? And then tonight we go to our room in the hospital?" Hopefully that was their plan as far as he knew.

~ Yue-Tala / Liza
Tala had thankfully mostly mastered the blushing whenever she was kissed or given a compliment. She nodded enthusiastically, bobbing up and down, then bolted for Liza. A hushed conversation ensued with various winks and nudges (from Liza), shifty eyes (from Tala) and giggling (from both)... But finally Liza nodded and Tala bounded back over to Vespen. "The kids have a babysitter," she grinned, leading him over to the minister.

Vespen nearly laughed out loud as she said that. He blushed completley and rubbed his neck nervously, "you didn't tell her our plans, did you? Because if you did, I'll be the bad guy and it's not pretty." His warm ice blue eyes looked into hers as she lead him away. "now where are we going?"

~ Yue-Tala
"No, I did not tell her. I told her we were going to be truth-or-dare. Then she figured it out for herself," she sighed. "That girl is unintentionally too smart for her own good." But she trailed off at Vespen's question. "Did you not say so yourself? The photos!"

[*QUIT*]

Vespen sighed, "my hair's a mess. I hate photos..." He had a broad smile on his face and let himself be continually dragged to the altar. "Why do I look so trashy and rouge-ish next to you? I mean, you turn out perfect every time I see you."
