Vespen chuckled, "now, now, Tala. We have kids." He didn't disagree though. "And if they aren't handfuls enough, we don't need more."

Skyle's eyes widened nervously as she approached the cerberus. When she had gotten closer to the wolf-beast it'd growled at her but the growl softly died away. However, when Skyle pulled out his knife made from dragon's tooth it began snarling terribly. "Sonja! get over here now!"

"You are so considering it. There are ways of preventing more Kiran-Sonja-Gales from... happening," she raised an eyebrow and smirked. "It's in your eyes, so don't tell me you're not tempted. Anyway, we can always ask Liza to babysit...?" She withdrew her arms and grinned, turning away from him. "And by the way, the Japanese meant, "I love Vespen"," she laughed, beginning to walk away.

~ Sonja
"Uncle Skyle, put the fork away!" she cried, pointing at him with her eyes wide. "I told you, it won't hurt me." She sat down right in front of one of its massive paws and pulled a puppy close, giving it a hug before letting it go again. "Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur. Happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr purr purr!"

Skyle raised a brow and put the knife away, he had the strangest face of wth?! The cerberus sniffed Sonja with a big nose. It had stopped snarling. Skyle's hands fell to his sides, "but... it's a dog..."

Vespen didn't let her walk away. "no, tonight. At the hospital. you choose what we do." He kissed her neck and softly nibbled her ear. "and plus, I knew that. Little Sonja knows Japanese like it's her first language..."

"I know! It's a cute fluffy one!" She got up again and hugged its wrist, grinning at Skyle like a maniac. "Come on, Ucle Skyle! I won't let it hurt you," she reassured him jokingly. "If it likes me, it'll like you. Just don't show it the fork, ok?"

Unable to resist, she slid her arms around his neck again. "It's only noon but I'm liking the sound of that already... I'm making a mental note to talk to Liza," she added, then tensed. "What did you just...? Sonja? Sonja told you what I said? Our Sonja, translating Japanese to English-? Are you sure?" she stammered. "Vespen, that's impossible.
I haven't taught her anything."

Vespen smiled and put his head on her shoulder, his hand was around her waist. He smiled at the thought but then felt her tense and lifted his head to look at her. "Have I ever lied to you?" That was all he said and he put his head down again on her shoulder/neck.

Skyle looekd down at her and smiled. "Uh, I'm not good with animals. I am after all, a hunter. But your dad is getting lonlier besides the fact that he has you, your brothers, and your mother. Ever since Rio..." He trailed off as he thought about the depression Ves had been through, all the tears. He coughed and crouched down to Sonja's height, "I should tell you... a cerberus took off your father's arm."

The little girl gasped as she stared at Skyle. "Mummy always said it was an akkident," she whispered. "It wasn't this one, was it?" she asked him firmly, though she was already looking less willing to be beside it.

~ Yue-Tala
"Not that I know of, but if you have..." she trailed off, only teasing, but clung to him tightly anyway. "You made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter. You are the best thing that's ever been mine," she quoted, humming softly.

Skyle stayed silent. He wasn't sure what cerberus attacked Vespen. The mutts were popping up around here like flies nowadays. His hand still hovered near his knife.

Vespen chuckled, "besides you and the kids. I have nothign else to live for." He kissed her and sighed happily. "So, when are we taking the photos?"

"Feng? Skyle?" she asked, but nodded. "Those are pretty much my thoughts... if I didn't have any of you, I'd probably have tried to follow the rest of my family... but di you know what? I'm glad I didn't," she whispered, "because now I have a meaning..." She glanced at the minister, grimacing slightly. "I believe now."

"Bye-bye, Cerberus. Bye-bye, puppies!" she yelled, waving behind her as she stumbled back to Skyle. Little pawsteps sounded and she turned to face them again. Three puppies were padding towards her. "No, go back to your mummy!" she cried, pointing at the big dog.

Vespen scoffed, "Feng's a bird and he could care less about anything to do with me. And Skyle's my brother; not worth much." He smiled but frowned as she continued talking. "You always had a meaning. Don't ever forget that. Without you I'd be dead. Most likely killed by my own chimera. Skyle would be brotherless. Tala would have no one. Lionel and Lisa wouldn't have met. Kiran, Gale, and Sonja wouldn't exist. Guadelupe would be alone. Michi would have to be on his own with a hungry jaguar who I'm not sure eats people." He kissed her lips softly, "must I go on?"

Skyle narrowed his eyes but didn't take a step forward. There were at least 6 'mutts of a mutt' that had followed Sonja. But there was one that stuck out to him. It was smaller than the rest, the three heads seemed.... derpy... yes, that was a good term to describe it. All fo the other cerberus pups were faster and seemed stronger.... an idea began to form... "Sonja... do you know when your dad' birthday is?"
