Alban cringed, and shielded alkara from the splash. Great, now she needed a bath! She hopped in after konear and chased him around in a broad circle playfully, like they did when they were cubs.

"You can't catch me!" He sneered, paddling through the water like a wounded bird, splashing everywhere.

[A~Random~Fox]

Alban swam after him, her massive paws propelling her through the water like flippers. But before she could reach him something came up from the water and peered at her with hungered eyes. A crock!

He leaned back, seeing the croc. Suddenly alert, he wrapped his jaws around Alban's scruff and dragged her to the shore, before grabbing the cub and pulling it further away from the shore also.

The croc snapped it's jaws, and hissed before slipping back into the muddy water. Alban sat, shocked at what had just happened. Alkara did not have a clue what had happened. One moment she was playing and having fun, and the next she was escaping a croc's bite!

Konear bravely clawed at the crocs nose but it snapped it's jaws, nearly catching his large paw.

Alban roared, and ran over to the pool. She growled and shuffled her paws, warning the croc, and tell ing it to leave

"Lets go, it's no longer safe here." He mumbled, nudging the lioness and cub away from the pools edge where the croc lurked, waiting.

Alban warned the pride, and off they went, in search of another resting place.

He padded after her, his large paws scarping the dusty african floor.
