Arynn glanced at it and nodded, "Just take whatever we think could be useful." He spotted something shiny and reached for it, but it turned out to just be a piece of glass. He straightened and looked around. There seemed to be nothing else, "Rose, you wanna go now?"

Rose shrugged. "Goh where?" she asked curiously. "Weh can't go back to Redhall Habby." she said, sad.

Arynn dusted his fur off, "of course we can't go back. I think we should keep going away from the Abbey. You know....Into the forest more. Who knows what we'll find?"

"Shouldn't we stay for the night though?" she asked, "It's almost dark and we couldn't get far in the dark." she said, still scrounging around.

Arynn took a quick look outside, "I think we should. The sun's going down. Should I get something to eat for us or no"?

"Oh yes!" Rose exclaimed, skipping around happily. "We should have soup and salad and truffles and turnovers and cordial and all manner of good food!" she exclaimed. She stopped, her stomach growled. She giggled and started skipping again, continuing to list off the fair of Redwall.

Arynn tried not to think about good Abbey fare, "no Rose, out here in the forest we don't have that, but we do have plenty of other good stuff to eat."

"But I like Redwall fare." she complained, stopping her skipping. "If we can't have Redwall fare, the what can we have?" she asked, her head at a slight angle.

Arynn smiled at his irrepressible friend, "if you haven't noticed in the forest, there are many types of roots, berries, nuts, and fish there are to be had. Of course, your favourite would be the acorns and mine would be fish."

"I haven't ever had acorns before." Rose said. "Only Redwall food. Have you ever had fish before? What does it taste like?" she asked
