Arynn held a restraining paw on Rose, "I'll find fire. You stay here and look for anything we might be able to take." Without waiting for a reply, he turned around and headed up the stairs to the outside.He looked around for some dry brush and tinder and made a small makeshift torch. He went to find flint and steel to get a fire going. He found flint near the base of the oak, which he dug out, and used the metal bolts on the door as steel. He struck the two together and very soon, the sparks quickly formed into a small flame on the torch. He fanned the flame until it was crackling steadily.

"Ah would, but Ah can't see ah thing!" Rose said, but Arynn had already dissapeared. She stumbled around the room, chuntering indignently to herself, waiting for Arynn to return.

Arynn took the torch hurriedly down the dark steps, to the room where Rose was. He found a dusty lantern hanging from the wall with a little candle in it. He took the torch and lit the lantern caefully, and handed it to Rose.

Rose took the lantern and stood on her tippy toes with her arms up. It was aweful large and heavy for her to hold for long, so it started to sag. Her muscles where trembling in no time, having had lived a life of leisure. "Awynn, can Ah set dis dowhn?" she asked.

Arynn looked about the room, seeing a bunch of dusty furniture. "I think I'll go into the other rooms to look. You can put the lantern down over here." He pointed to a lopsided table, and headed out of the room. He called back, "make sure you take whatever you find interesting."

Rose giggled and said, "No pwoblem." She started to took around, skipping around the room

Arynn went into a larger room, and peered around. The firelight glinted on something on a shelf, and he went to inspect it. Lifting it up, he blew the dust away and saw that it was a kitchen knife, still sharp and ready to use. He tucked it into his belt and continued to search.

Rose looked aound and she managed to create a good sized pile of shinny things. "Hows dat?" she asked Arynn gesturing proudly at the pile she had amassed.

Arynn looked at the pile, sifting through the stuff. "This is great! Try finding something that could be useful to us." He picked up another smaller knife and stowed it beside the other one he picked up before.

Rose humphed unhappily. She pointed at a slightly cracked glass oval shaped ornament. "Dis could be useful." she said defensively.
