Renji looked up after a moment, propping himself on his elbow to make sure Byakuya was okay, then turned over so that he was laying on his stomach, the expansive tattoos across his back exposed.

Byakuya looked seeing renji wasn't paying attention and frowned a bit. Did he really care more about tanning then him? His thoughts were inturpted as the board, and himself were suddenly pulled under the water and he struggled, trying to hold his breathe but his chest started to hurt and his lungs burned for air, his shirt caught on something but he couldn't tell what it was as he gasped for air, inhaling large amounts of salt water and he blacked out.

Renji hned, looking up again, and searched the waves for his partner. Where was he. Sitting up in a flash, Renji noted the lifeguards hurrying ino the water. He got up. Oh no. Not again! Renji hurried to the shoreline, seeing a lifeguard dive under to retrieve someone he hoped wasn't Byakuya, but was devestated to see that it was. He went into the water, the lifeguard dragging Byakuya up to the shore and proceeded to give him cpr. renji tripped over himself as he tired to go over and make sure Byakuya was okay.

Byakuya was out cold at first but soon he forced himself up, coughing up water, his body numb so he couldn't feel the throbbing pain in his leg from the large bite-marks althought one of the other people were trying to explain to the lifegaurd that they had seen a shark in the water.

Renji pushed through the crowd, concerned, and was horrified at what he saw. He leaned over to get a better look, then asked the lifeguard if he would be okay. Blood was seeping into the sand in mass amounts.

Byakuya laid on his side, his sides heaving up and down harshly to his ragged breathing as he laid there, digging at the sand to try and keep his movements going as the pain starting to make itself knock.

The lifeguard pushed Renji away with surprising force and h and a buddy grabbed Byakuya and carted him up off the beach, heading to the ambulance tht had pulled up on the street.

Byakuya struggled a bit. "W-Wait...... R-Renji!" He tried grabbing for his partner but the pain was starting to get rather bad in his leg.
