Renji let Aibou down, watching him run off. "Aibou?" he asked, following the puppy.

Aibou ran off down the halls quickly, his claws clicking against the rotting wood before he found a room and barked at the door, fresh blood covered the undusted door knob and drag marks lead to the door as well.

Renji frowned at the site of blood and marks on the floor and jiggled the doorknob till it opened.

Byakuya stiffened a bit seeing the door opened but he let out a gasp of pain as his hair was grabbed and his head jerked back to a painful angle so his entire throat was seen and the blade pressed against the bare skin. "Another step and we slit his throat!" One male hissed.

Renji frowned, now really upset about what he saw. He didn't move though, not wanting to gamble on Byakuyas life. "What do you want with him?" the soul reaper ground out.

"I think the head of the kuchiki clan would fetch a real good price." The leader said smirking as byakuya gave a muffled noise when the knife pressed harder against his throat and a small amount of blood started to run down his throat.

"Youre going to sell him for ransom?" Renji asked. He didnt see how well that would go over, but didnt fuss on it too long when he saw what they were doing to the man. "Wait... don't hurt him." he pleaded.

"Oooh? Why shouldn't we hurt him? And why do you think its such a bad idea?" They replied, taking the blade for byakuya's throat and releasing the raven hair and byakuya's head dropped. The dark room covered byakuya's badly injuried body at the moment and how his clothes had large amounts of blood staining them.

Renji stalled for a moment, thinking. "Well... he won't get you anything if hes dead, right?" he asked, trying to reason with them. "And I didnt say it was a bad idea, cause its not. But, with the head of the clan comes a lot of clan memebrs who are probably really p****d off that you took their highest member... Id think theyd rather pay in blood then money."

The soul reaper was just stalling, not really caring if he didn't sound all too logical. He was trying to think of a way to get Byakuya out of the mess he was in.

"I think if we threaten to kill him if are demands aren't met then they'll pay up." Another replied before byakuya grunted in pain and looked away as the knife was stabbed into his upper left thigh.
