Skypatch smiled, and purred softly, "Not as lucky as me,"his tail curled softly as he replied to Moonshade.

Nettlepaw panted softly when he reached the shore. "Alright, you win," he meowed. "You're faster than you look you know."

Goldenpaw nodded, smiling. "Thanks."

Moonshade smiled and her eyes shone. She let out a loud purr, and nuzzled Skypatch, leaning softly on his strong side. I really am the luckiest she-cat in the world!

Skypatch purred softly, twining his tail with her's as she leaned against him. He licked her head, and purred again.

Mooshade sighed in contentment and looked at the sky for a few seconds. She smiled and looked at Skypatch's face. "What now?"

Skypatch smiled softly, "Well," he ouased slightly, "Moonshade would you be my mate?" he asked softly, looking down at her.

Moonshade pulled away in shock. Her blue eyes widened as she stared into the distance; she hadn't expected that at all. Mates? Now with...Skypatch.... she thought in a frightened daze. She was young! She hadn't even thought of that now... all she knew at the moment was that she was way more than friends with Skypatch. But.... She blinked, relaxing and taking in a deep breath. Her fur glimmered in the sunlight. She looked back up at him slowly, and said quietly, "Yes.....I would, Skypatch." She stretched her neck and rubbed her cheek against his and she felt a slight tingling go up and down her spine as they touched; closing her eyes in sweet bliss.

Skypatch purred softly, pretending not to see the stricken look. He pushed it from his mind as Moonshade rubbed her cheek against his, a tingle ran up his spine, it wasn't painful, but pleasant. He nuzzled her softly.

Moonshade purred back and buried the side of her face in his shoulder, saying happily, "Skypatch?" She stood straight and lay her smokey grey-and-ginger striped tail on his black and white shoulders, while walking towards the forest. Moonshade's eyes were dazzling softly in the light, and she felt like she was practically floating on air. I guess this is what love feels like... "We were out there to hunt. Let's go fetch our prey." She said in a silky smooth tone. She didn't say it out loud, but she meant to just go outside with Skypatch, to be alone.

Skypatch glanced, "Oh!" he smiled sheepishly, "I forgot" he chuckled softly. Skypatch stood, glancing back at Moonshade smiling, "Let's go get them"

Moonshade chuckled and trotted into the forest after him, tail high and eyes bright. As she saw a leaf floating around in the wind, she pounced all of a sudden, trying to catch it. The ginger in her pelt flashed like fire. She reached up for it as it flew past the both of them, feeling like a kit again. She landed empty-pawed and stood up on her hind legs right when she landed, tail-tip flicking in excitement. She pawed the air, razor sharp claws unsheathed now, and caught it. She smacked it onto the the ground in contentment, laughter dancing in her eyes. She turned to Skypatch, and crouched, letting out a playful growl.
