((Awesome! Here's my intro))
Terra looked out the window as the taxi drove past the bright green trees. She was excited, yet nervous to be on her way to a new school. Especially one that catered to her special needs. Thank God for that letter. She looked down at the cell phone in her hand, thinking of texting Joe, her ex, and reminding herself that this was a new beginning to her life and to not drag anything unnecessary from the past.
"We're almost there," the taxi driver said. "You can see the school just up ahead." And sure enough, Terra watched as the large main building and dormitories came into view. Terra loved the architecture of the dorms and she hoped that she would be on the top floor, despite her fear of heights.
As the driver pulled the car to the front of the building along with several other cars, Terra whipped her soft, brown hair up into a ponytail and pulled out some cash to pay the driver. "Thank you," she said genuinely, passing him the money. She climbed out and opened the trunk to pull out two enormous suit cases, a duffel bag and a guitar. She would be staying here until Christmas after all. As Terra adjusted her messenger bag and pulled the duffel bag up on her shoulder as the taxi pulled out of the line and headed down the drive by which it came.
