Suzume sniffed the air and stiffened, her gaze traveled through the trees before locking on Pein.

Itachi sighed and pulled her close "Are not..." he mumbled.

Pein frowned, then averted his eyes from Suzume before she could say anything.

Leiko frowned as she was unconscious, once again having the same torturing memories in her head again.

Suzume looked away and flattened her ears "I'm sorry." she whispered before continueing through the trees.

Itachi could easily guess what Leiko was dreaming about, he patted her head "Hush."

"Sorry for what?" Pein asked with a frown as he jumped down from the tree. "There's nothing you need to be sorry for."

Leiko continued to frown, totally unaware of the conscious world at the moment. Silently, tears started to form at her eyes and roll down her face.

Suzume looked at the ground "I annoy you, I purposely bother you, and I yelled at you."

Itachi looked surprised, then pulled Leiko closer.

"It wasn't my fault..." Leiko whimpered in her sleep. "I didn't mean to kill them..."

Suzume huffed slightly "That makes me feel so much better..." she mumbled.

Itachi hugged her tightly "I know."

Pein frowned, regretting saying the wrong thing. "Would you mind helping me again?" he asked softly with a sigh.

By now, Leiko's face was wet with tears, and her shoulders were shaking. All of a sudden, her eyes opened, and she looked up at Itachi. "Itachi...?" she whispered, not knowing if she was still dreaming or not.

Suzume smiled slightly "Sure."

Itachi held her close "Hush Leiko-chan."

Pein nodded, then turned around and walked back to the hideout, not knowing what else to say.

Leiko stayed there for a second, tears still rolling down her face, but after a few seconds she gently pulled away. "I got poisoned.... I made you worry...." she whispered, wiping the tears off of her face. "I'm sorry..."
