Kiro;
Slowing her pace significantly, Kiro stopped behind a tree, certain that her opponent knew exactly where she was. There was no point in thinking otherwise, and she had to be cautious...
Taking a deep breath, Kiro carefully thought through her plan; all she had to do was get behind him, but that would be literally impossible if he knew where she was. Without that advantage she wouldn't be able to defeat him by stealth, so brute force? Perhaps she could stand to battle until he dropped; although the two kunai and the explosions hadn't helped at all, Kiro had some energy left. The adrenaline hadn't completely worn off yet, and just as she was trained, she could block the pain.
Her eyes snapping open, Kiro remembered what she had in her pocket. It hadn't occurred to her now, but of course! It made perfect sense; it was just a question of whether she could do it or not.
Slowly taking out a scroll, Kiro unrolled it and concentrated on the symbols, calling upon her Chakra. This was the hardest thing she had probably ever done, but she had taken it on a whim this morning, maybe hoping she could use it--perhaps this was her chance. Smirking faintly as the symbols were memorized, Kiro made a few hand signs--having to start over after fumbling twice--but eventually bubbles appeared out of nowhere, charged with enough Chakra to make a thick smokescreen. The bubbles refused to pop, and danced around the small set of trees as if they knew exactly where her opponent was. She watched the large flock of them carefully, looking for patterns in the way they moved. If there was anything irregular at all, then that was where he was; hopefully the Chakra would confuse him enough so she could come in.
{the rest of} Team Eleven;
Clone whipped her head around as she heard an explosion; biting her lip as she asked frantically, "Kyo! What happened?!" She couldn't see what had gone down and was too far away to use any of her other senses. Forcing herself through the crowd and back to the railing she tried to make sure Kiro was alive and okay, but so far...nothing. The battle didn't appear to be over, but she could be hurt...
~
Kyo winced slightly as he heard an explosion, using his height to look over the crowd. Kiro appeared to be hurt, but she wasn't going down without a fight. Upon hearing the explosion, he saw Clone freeze, memories advancing upon her like a storm; he watched with slight concern as she made her way to the railing, trying to figure out what happened. Noru would tell her. She was so paranoid...
~
Noru looked up at Clone, who was trying to see what had happened. Pulling on her sleeve, he yelled over the noise of the crowd, "Clone! She's okay; she got out in time! Now calm down; you're going to stress yourself out before your battle and you won't be able to win!" He saw the Genin relax, and nod, but her expression still looked slightly pained. He just hoped that Kiro would make it through this...but she finally seemed to be using her brain to strategize something. Noru lost himself in the battle until he saw, a few moments, later, bubbled emerging from the small copse of trees at the edge of the arena. Hoping that it was Kiro who had used the Jutsu but doubting it, Noru looked for any signs that she was still alive--there! At the edge of the trees, her hands held in an unmistakable symbol. She had actually channeled her Chakra enough to do that? Since when was she even able to use handsigns?
~
Kyo watched the battle with dry interest, but he felt a small hint of concern as the tag exploded; she had landed pretty hard there... Of course, the two kunai embedded in her body wouldn't help either. It hadn't even been that long and it was shaping out to be bad for Kiro.
He nodded and smiled at the Genin, saying, "It's alright--actually, it happens a lot." the smile was feeling slightly more at ease taking up residence on his expression, and he found that he preferred being amiable towards than others than being that interrogator they didn't know. "I have faith in Kiro, but she's far too nervous and she needs to start using her head. If she gets close enough she'll have an advantage, but it all depends whether she has enough stamina left."
