Lila followed his leaqd and scribbled on the paper and walked up to the stage with him to drop the little slip in the box. she walked down the stairs, careful not to trip on her heals. she looked at Alec. "so i take it now that we just hang out and dance?" she asked with a cute smile

Alec watched as Lila made her way towards him. SHe looked pretty. "Yeah...I guess." he said, shrugging. Sighing, he suddenly felt light headed. Grabbing her hand, he dragged her outside, taking deep breaths. He felt better. "Sorry 'bout that.'' Alec said, suddenly feeling rather embarrassed; he turned a shade of pink.

Mr. Karonta had two slips of paper in his hand. "And, ladies and gentlemen, the Prom Queen is...Charlotte Jamison!" he exclaimed while Charlotte let him put the tiara on her perfectly done hair.

Charlotte smiled at everyone.

Lila blinked and instant concern bloomed in her chest. she followed him out and once they were out in the outside she looked up at him with concerned midnight blue eyes. "are you aleight?" she asked ignoring his pink cheeks. she tilted her head slightly. "we can leave if you want"

Mike watched as she got prom queen. he let out a small breath he hadn't known he had been holding. he clapped along with everyone else and had a nice smile on for her. he watched the, put the tiara on her and thought she looked even more beautiful than before

"Yeah, I'm fine now." he said, ruffling her hair up a bit, but not enough to ruin the hairstyle. "Sure. I'm bored there, anyways." Alec replied, holding her hand and leading her to the truck. He got in and waited for her to get in. Notice how he didn't fasten his seat belt.

Charlotte smiled back at Mike and faced front again. Prom King better not be some freak. Cause the tradition was that the prom king and queen had to dance.

Mr. Karonta then announced the Prom King. "And the prom King is...Mike Swift!" he thundered into the microphone while giving Mike the ______ (what should he get?).

Lila frowned slightly but shrugged and got up into the truck and into the passenger seat. she smoothed out her skin tight blue dress and looked at him. "so home?" she asked softly and thought about him hanging in her room tonight or her hanging in his.

Mike smiled as they placed the crown on his head. It wasn't all pretty like Charlottes-thank god- but was a regular kings crown. he walked over to charlotte and took her hand gently with a small smile. "congrats" he whispered to her with a happy smile.

"Yeah." Alec replied, smiling at Lila as he jammed the key into the hole where you put the key in and turned on the car. ((I dunno xD)) He carefully pulled out of the parking space and soon they were on their way home. The streets were rather empty; this was especially lucky, saying that it was a Friday.

Charlotte's blankless expression turned into a grin when Mike stepped up next to her. He had a crown, like hers, but it was bigger; not a tiara. Who cares. She happily held her hand in his. "You too." she whispered back, even though her her nanny said to never whisper; it would ruin your vocal chords.

Lila sighed and stared out the window with a soft expression. She watched as the streetlights held a small glow on the streets. She looked at Alec. "you sure your alright?" she asked softly to him as she looked over at him.

Mike smiled and then looked at mr. K awaiting the next direction. He knew the routine, though. He knew he would have to lead her off stage and to the middle of the floor to slow dance with her. Though he just wanted to hear mr.k say it

Alec took a left turn, and then another left a little bit after the first left turn. "Yeah." he replied to Lila. "Really.'' he added, because he knew that she must not believe him or something. But he was telling the truth!

Mr. K then said,"Well, continue on with the tradition!" and he left. Everyone wandered off of the stage. The girls looked relieved; like they wouldn't dare slow dance with Charlotte Jamison's boyfriend if they won. Shrugging, Charlotte let Mike lead her off of the stage and to the middle of the gym.

Lila looked at him with a frown. "then why were you dizzy and had to go outside?" she asked him in a soft voice. Not accusing just concerned for her best friend/ boyfriend. She looked at his shaggy brown hair and his lips and then at his eyes which were on the road

Mike smiled as he led her to the middle. He placed his hands softly on her waist and started to slow dance with her. People around them made awws as they swayed along and spun around in a circle. So e people started to join in half way through but left the middle open for them

"I don't know." Alec said with a frown. "I guess it was too stuffy in there for me or something." he said, shrugging. He pulled into LIla's driveway and shut off the car.

Charlotte smiled and tucked her head under his chin. They danced for a little bit.
