Madelyn read the text, over, and over again. She couldn't believe her eyes. She jumped up, but her foot got caught on something, and she fell. She was too happy to be in pain. She got up, and jumped again, her arms in the air. "He said yes!" She ran around the house screaming. She laughed when he younger brother came out of his room and stared at her. She walked back in her room, and grabbed her phone. Yeah, it's Lea's. I'll see you at 9, right? Her fingers were shaking horribly, that she barely was able to send the text message.

Nathan grinned as he sprinted the rest of the way home. When he got there, he could feel his phone vibrating. He didn't want to pick it up because of his excitement, but when he realized that it was Madelyn, he changed his mind and quickly pulled it out of his pocket. Kay. Do you want me to pick u up? he sent back, sending the message. He put his phone on the coffee table and ran down a corridor and into his bedroom. The house was empty, and no one was around; except for his dog. "Here Parker," Nathan said, patting his legs. A German Shepherd padded towards Nathan, jumping up and licking his face. Nathan laughed, pushing his dog off gently. He'd have to take him to the neighbour's while he went out to the party. When the dog ran off into the garden, Nathan got dressed into something more suitable for the party. He knew that Lea had a pool, so he stuffed some board shorts into a bag, even though he knew he'd only be going swimming after nine o'clock.

When Nathan had gotten dressed, he tightened his bag and walked back down the corridor, chucking the bag on the couch. "Come on Parker," he called, and Parker came running through the house. Nathan clipped a leash to the dogs collar, before walking outside and knocking on the neighbour's door. "Hi Kate, here to drop my little Parker off," Nate said, stroking the dog's fur. "You're going to a party, aren't you? Well, have fun!" replied Kate, taking the leash. Nathan smiled, thanking her and walking down the driveway and back into his house.

Maddie instantly changed from a a hot pink top and jeans to a tight red dress. She took out her pink and black earrings and added black hoop earrings. She changed almost everything. She grabbed a black two-piece bathing suit and put it under her dress. She put her hair up in a ponytail, and put on some flipflops before she heard her ringtone, which was Nicki Minaj Super Bass. She ran towards it and picked it up, Sure, only if u want 2. She texted him back, then looked up as her mother peeked through the door, "I'm gonna force you to wear overalls if you keep dressing like that." Her mother said, referring to the short dress. "Who are you seeing at this 'party'?" Her mother asked, walking fully into the room and sitting next to Maddie. "Nobody, just Nate, remember him?" Maddie replied, not looking at her mother.

Nathan nodded. He began to type, where do yo live? but he quickly erased it. His friends and him had once walked past her house and saw her with her mum. Smiling, he started typing again. Okay, see you later, he replied, clicking the send button. Nathan walked into his room and looked at himself in a mirror Daniel had brought him as a joke. Jeez I look horrible, the boy thought to himself, picking at the shoulder high sleeve of his shirt. Sighing, he took off his baggy pants and his T-shirt, changing into tight black jeans and short sleeved white shirt. He looked himself in the mirror, and grinned. He looked pretty cool. Then, Nathan took a bowler hat from the shelf and put it on. The blackness fit in with the white shirt and the black jeans. Happy with his outfit, he threw his clothes in the wardrobe and shut it, before playing x-box as he had nothing else to do.

Madelyn posed in the mirror when her mother left. She took pictures on her phone, and then threw her phone on her bed, not knowing she got a text message. She walked downstairs, "Mom, do you know where my head band is?" She asked, knocking on her mother's door. Her mother opened the door and shook her head. "Ugh." Maddie grumbled and went upstairs to scavenge around her room for it. She looked in the last place she would think it'd be in. Her book bag. She took down her hair and put the head band in, and smiled at the little bow it had in it. She should look her best, because this could be a one in a life time shot. She grabbed her phone, Yeah, okay. She texted, still having butterflies in her stomach.

Nathan saw his phone vibrating. Deciding it wouldn't be too important, he kept playing. "D*mn thing," he murmured to himself angrily, switching off the x-box and going on his laptop. Nate went on trade me, and put his x-box and a few other things up for auction. Hopefully somebody would buy the stuff, they were up for pretty cheap, compared to what they were worth.

When Nathan had shut down his laptop, he picked up his phone and read the message. Deciding there was no point to reply, he put the phone on his bench and put it for charge, as it was running on low battery. "Well, not I'm stuck here to do nothing for a few hours.." he said with a small sigh, staring at the blank ceiling as he lay on his bed.

Nathan bit his bottom lip nervously, checking himself one last time in the mirror. Deciding he looked fine, the boy scratched the back of his neck and crept down the dark corridor, taking the keys from a small bench and exiting the house. He locked the door and walked down the driveway silently, hopping into his car and starting the engine. The head lights were on as Nate hummed to a song playing on the radio. Soon, he got to Madelyn's house and parked on the curb. Nervously, Nathan slammed the car door shut behind him and walked up Maddie's drive butterflies soaring in his stomach. Nathan held his breath and knocked the door, then let it out as soon as he had done it.

Madelyn heard the door knock, her heart almost pounding out of her chest. She ran downstairs so quickly that she almost fell. She put her hand on the door knob, and breathed in and out calmly a couple times before she opened it. "Hi." She smiled at him, walking out of her house and closing the door behind her. She looked at him, and her smile got wider. "You look nice." She said, trying to talk without messing up anything.

Nathan smiled. "Thanks. You look stunning," he replied, walking to the car with her. It was completely black, but the number plate glowed softly in the dark. He opened the door to the passenger seat and grinned, acting posh and bowing. As he waited for her to enter, he glanced around, checking is anybody was there. Not that he'd care, anyway, apart from the fact one of his friends lived their and would shout something out about Nathan liking Madelyn when he got to the party.
