Darktail had been in the Tree-hole, and he hopped over. "Of course he doesn't know her, he's just a stupid lowly filthy loner!"
"Stop!" Mudtail yelled. "Why are you obsessed with trying to get him mad? Summerfeather's a nice guy." He shoved Darktail.

He shoved his brother out of the way and turned his head to him."Your not stupid,and let me handle my own fights,I've got to stand up for myself sometimes Mudtail,I don't want you getting hurt."Turning his head back to Darktail he stared at him."I'm not stupid and you don't know if I was a loner or not.My mum could have been at a flock,you never know.Also,your attempts to make me angry or try to hurt you are futile."

"All right, bro; don't get hurt, 'kay?" Mudtail chirped, hopping away from the two of them. Summerfeather, his adopted brother, was brave; Mudtail valued that in birds.
"Oh, the little loner Hatchling is saying the word futile. How amazing, how strong, how fierce, how intelligent. Oh I'm so scared because Summerfeather has the gifts of Smallwing and Aspenbeak." Darktail sneered, his voice had obvious sarcasm in it.

"Yeah,I'm smart,what are you gonna do about it?I'm not willing to get my talons dirty if the grime with be from you,because I'd rather let the crows,more likely magpie's,deal with you."He smirked angerly.

"Racist." Hissed Darktail. "That's just racist to the crows and magpies." Actually, what he was saying about Summerfeather's comment being racist to crows and magpies was true; he was just saying it with a mean voice.

"I don't believe you understood what I said when I made that comment. I mean that they could take you down easily, DarkTail. "When he said his half brothers name, he said it as if he was disgusted.

"So can an eagle. Not just crows and magpies." Darktail spat. "You know what? You're just a huge flashing invitation for Sandbeak to come over and kill us. Leave me alone." The bluebird Fledgling hopped away.
"Wow..." Mudtail breathed. "My brother's stupid, isn't he? I think you handled that well, Summerfeather. I'm glad you didn't freak out or beat him up." Mudtail knew that Summerfeather was stronger than Darktail already; he was a red-tailed hawk while Darktail was only a bluebird.

Suntail woke up from the blackness. She moaned. "Help..." She moaned and lay back down.

"Oh its not hard to make bully leave you alone. Just convince them that they're no better than you. Also, if If I can keep my talons clean, i won't fight. Fighting is very stupid and a waste of time. "He replied happily.

"I agree. It's for small-brained birds who just want to make themselves look cool when in reality they're not cool at all!" Mudtail chirped. "I liked how you stayed calm the whole time. If Darktail did that to me I'd be crying to my mommy."

Firewing wondered if Suntail was going to be all right. He assumed that he had to try to help her. "It's gonna be okay, Suntail, it's not that bad!" He chirped, trying to make her feel better.
